July 12th is decision day - I believe the Nuggets have pushed themselves to a place where they will not retain Miller's contract but instead will add him to the coaching staff.

If they choose to retain him, then they must be close to a an actual consolidation trade and I will need some time to recover from the shock.

To me, it would be a shocker if they retained Miller. It would also mean dropping someone projected to make the 15 man roster. I think that only happens if they have a trade lined up and need Miller's contract to move or to fill a slot, still very unlikely.

Miller is gone, I hope they retain him in some role as a coach or in the front office. He has been a great mentor for Jokic and some of the other young guys.

I hope this was about freeing up money for a defensive minded wing, and not to save Josh and Stan some coin.
