Worst Injury - Depth Chart

No doubt all Nuggets fans fear an injury to Jokic. But looking at the depth chart, which player is the most difficult to replace if he takes a season ending injury? Just considering the starters here.

Jokic ----- Plumlee & "very small ball"
Millsap --- Faried & Arthur & Hernangoez & Lyles & Lydon & Plumlee & Chandler
Chandler - Hernangomez & Barton
Harris ---- Barton & Murray & Beasley
Murray --- Mudiay & Nelson

PG sorta scares me but in the modern NBA, ball handling isn't too important so Barton & Beasley can probably help there, especially because the Nuggets aren't looking for a guy that has to run an offense.

Center definitely scares me but truthfully, the ultra small-ball that I don't like, sorta works in the modern NBA and a Jokic-less team just might make the playoffs.

SF is my biggest fear. Chandler played a lot of PF last year but he's our best true-SF. Barton is a little light and Lydon is a little too slow. Hernangomez works fine as a backup but as a starter ... not sure. It's not on the offense that I fear losing Chandler. It's on the defense. Both Barton & Hernangomez have SFs that will be difficult to stop - and I'm not just talking about the superstars. Chandler might be our only defensive-capable SF this year.

No injury is good (maybe Jameer if it gets him to retire) PERIOD.

I’ve said before that a chandler injury would be borderline devastating. I’d imagine if we were in the playoff hunt and he went down we’d have to go out and trade for a replacement

I think it's obviously Jokic.
Regardless of what the FO thinks, Plumlee is nowhere near Jokic in terms of his ability to run the offense.

Mr Jinx here Skywalker  I'm thinking Jefferson would be a nice pickup for the Nuggets. He can't really replace Barton at SG, at least not providing the same game; but he is a wise veteran that can play SF.

At SG, they still have Harris - Beasley - Murray - Mudiay. Not sure Mudiay will make it or not, but all four of those guys can play some SG to some degree.

Barton ready to play tonight http://www.denverpost.com/2017/10/17/will-barton-nuggets-injury-update/

Looks like someone in the media was magnifying the extent of the injury. Of course they get more PR out of being extreme. :o

The new Nuggets beat writer for the Denver Post, Mizell, is new to the NBA and sounds pretty green.
