It would seem like it should be a win, even on the road. But stop me if you've heard this before: the Nuggets aren't consistent, so nothing's a sure thing. Sound bytes hint at Jokic getting the ball more often than even the last few games, and that bodes well for the offense. The defense is better, so far, than most people would have projected. It would see the bench is going to be the issue. No Chandler means no Barton off the bench, unless Malone considers what that means and starts Hernangomez at SF. Mudiay, Beasley, Barton, Lyles, Plumlee off the bench is still going to require movement, not spectating. My best guess is the bench will determine this game, unless the starters have a totally dominating game.

Bench is really off to a bad start, the starters are what's keeping us in the game. Only 10pts coming from the 3nd unit, shooting pct suck for them.

Jokic is a problem tonight. He is FG 0-3 in 2nd and 3rd quarter, and such low energy game from him is a surprise after 2 days rest.

But it is not over... 10 points before last quarter is a big difference, but we are a better team, and if Jokic finally wake-ups, there is still some chances to win this.

Barton seems to be the whole bench (with a little Mudiay and his turnovers) but the starters didn't do much in the 3rd quarter!

My goodness, Utah's shooting looks like they might be the best team in the NBA. (Or maybe Denver's defense was as poor as their offense.) :banghead:

Interesting to listen to the national broadcast announcers talking about the lack of movement by the Nuggets' bench and Mudiay's poor decision making and Jokic's need to assert himself more.

I'll watch the game with the Nuggets' announcers in the morning.

No matter how frustrating are both loses vs Jazz this season, more painful than scoreboard is watching Donovan Mitchell. The guy is pure gold, and we missed him this summer on draft day in so ridiculous way.

PATHETIC 2nd half, what do they do in practice ??? Shooting under 36% is just inexcusable !! Another loss ON THE ROAD to a division rival,,,,If Malone can't get this team to win on the road and against division foes, he needs to be fired !!!

After seemingly starting to turn the corner, Mudiay has been really bad the last several games. With the threat of a Bledsoe trade gone, he doesn't seem to be playing with the same intensity and focus as he started the season with.

Point guard position is the biggest weakness of this team, Murray and his back up are not able to run simple pick 'n' roll action , they are not true point guards.

How many times did the announcer call Jokic Nurkic? I counted at least two.

"True PG" is no longer what it once was. Most of the Nuggets can dribble the ball up court and the Nuggets use Murray, Mudiay, Barton, Jokic and sometimes Harris or Millsap to start the offense. "PG" is about shooting/scoring and defense against other "PGs".

Biggest weakness of this team in my opinion? Either the bench or the youth (or maybe both). But that's just my opinion.

Yeah, I've said that before - this time I was ignoring him and just looking at our players. Now that they've recalled Craig, do you think they'll actually play him (other than garbage minutes)?

Torrey's biggest competition for minutes is probably Jauncho. If Jauncho can't handle big minutes in Chandler's absence we might see Craig get some minutes, but I doubt it otherwise.

Just looking at backup minutes, you are quite correct. For overall SF minutes, Barton is his biggest competition, but Malone likes "small". He's got two centers and none of his PFs are big. Remember his first year where he sometimes played three guards 6'4" and under? He sure does seem to prefer Barton at SF where he's undersized and let's not forget the Nuggets trading off their two biggest centers (for whatever reasons), he just couldn't make them workout.
