The issue is that the Kroenkes own the 1st bank center in Broomfield, so that is likely where they will put any G league team, which is too bad as the sky sox drew well for years in the Springs and the Eagles and Ice draw well at the Budweiser event center in Loveland.

Kinda disappointing the Sky Sox totally left town in Springs after last season.

Makes sense to have them at 1stBank Center in Broomfield instead of Broadmoor World Arena in CO Springs or even Albuquerque again.

Sky Sox were a minor league baseball team, think we're talking basketball here on this forum. RealGM does have a baseball forum though, maybe worth a visit for ya.

I've been talking about the G League team on here, baseball teams can't play in hockey/basketball arenas... :-?

So, you're the only one who brought up the triple A Sky Sox baseball team, what does that have to do with the G-League ??? Please explain ....

I do agree a CS G-League team woukd be great, even Albuquerque would be desirable but KSE has to be willing to do it as most G-League teams aren't profitable, and that's usually their bottom line.

Just checking on Welsh and Akoon, nothing really blossoming yet but it is early. Perhaps this can show the Nuggets we need our coaching on our young guys.

Supposedly, I haven't confirmed, Welsh will be playing for the Wizards' G-League affiliate & Akoon-Purcell will be playing for the Sixers affiliate.

Return to Denver Nuggets
