What do you guys think about Troy Brown and Kevin Knox, both can play SF and are slotted as 16-17 on nbadraft mock, which one is better fit with us?

I like both prospects for the Nuggets. Brown seems more ready to contribute, he’d be a Barton-clone but he can/will play defense. He does need work in the weight room. Knox looks like he has a higher ceiling, guy would flourish offensively with Joker. That said I really see him 2-3 years away from producing, guys only going to be 19 as the season starts. If I was selecting, I’d take Knox, then Brown but I am a a UK fan

Knox is gonna be as good as the development staff of who drafts him. He’s a blank slate. Good size and athleticism but he’s just not good at basketball right now. In 4 years, he can either be Jaylen brown or taking a 1 year prove it deal to stay in the league.

I disagree, Knox has a good basketball game, shows some IQ to his game but does show some youthful mistakes. He showed a lot of offensive prowess despite Kentucky limiting spacing in the paint. His defense was a bit suspect but that can be developed, he has the length and athleticism for it. And most rookies can become Jaylen or become a journeyman, easy to say about a lot of players

Keep seeing Robert Williams popping up relating to 14th pick for DEN, someone (SoCal ?) on our forum brought him up earlier and I brought up the whole another-PF-thing but I can see some future thinking there. While I still think the last thing we need is another PF, Williams does have some qualities that have a big appeal. One, he plays like a bigger Kenneth Faried, but WITH defense. He's uber-athletic, has good hops. and can be a rim-protector. Bigger yet, just as Faried looked good next to Jokic, betting Williams would look better. Secondly, he brings a lot of what Millsap does (doesn't have quite the shooting skills yet), DEFENSE but at a younger age. PM will be declining soon and Williams could step in after this next season. Now everyone knows I have touted Lyles as Millsaps successor, rethinking he could play off the bench as a scorer, a nice 1-2 punch ar PF for a long time.

Just something to look at, under a week to go fellas !!

Well, someone in our office likes power forwards. It always makes me think of coaches that say the ideal team has everyone 6'9" so they can switch on every pick. 8-)

There's talk that the FO wants to move up for 4/5... Maybe they don't have confidence in their guys dropping.

As long as it dont cost Murray, Harris, or Jokic than I am happy to move up, but if they put any of them in the deal the front office should be fired.

My final ranking of guys I'd like to see Denver draft at #14

1.) Miles Bridges: A proven player, will be able to help us out right away

2.) Josh Okogie: A late riser on my board, Okogie has great size and is already strong enough to play both the 2 &3. A great athlete who can defend and has a higher upside than people give him credit for. He's a steal imo, going to be great at the next level. Had 6 Ft attempts per game, which is huge. He has a great first step.

3.) Troy brown Jr.: Swiss Army knife, does just about everything on the floor. Really Versatile, will be able to play/defend 1-4.

4.) Kevin Knox: A great offensive fit and a roll of the dice to find another star. Knox has a high ceiling but could very much end up being a Quincy Miller level prospect.

5.) Zhaire Smith: Super athletic wing, undersized for a 3 but would fit well in Denver as a fifth option. Similar to Okogie, but Okogie is much better at putting the ball on the floor.

The move up talk is interesting... I wonder if we try would be targetting Mikil Bridges, Doncic or Porter Jr? All of them would be interesting, not sure how much it would cost us.

Not a fan of taking Okogie in the 1st round. He's a SG so he'd be fighting with Beasley for minutes. It seems like a wasted pick.

Zhaire Smith seems like a reasonable value at #14 but he's also a SG, so it seems like a wasted pick.

My preferences, in order:

Long shots - might drop but probably not to #14
Michael Porter
Mikal Bridges
Kevin Knox

Possible #14 selections
Miles Bridges
Keita Bates-Diop
Chandler Hutchison

I expect one of the three above will drop to #14, probably two of them, maybe all three.

I really feel like Kevin Knox is way too much of the same player that Juancho, Lyles and Lydon are for us to actually take him. Maybe I am wrong, I just don't see what others like in him on this team.

I have been on the Knox bandwagon for a while, but lately I tend to agree with DaFan334 here. He's young, talented offensively but should have been more productive at Kentucky where he was focalized. If he's there at 14 we should take him as BPA, but I don't see him contributing more than Juancho or Lyles this year.

I hear you guys on the similarities, but I see Knox as halfway between Lyles and Hernan Gomez. Lyle's more of a power forward and Knox is more of a small forward and Hernangomez is halfway between. But I don't really expect him to be available for us anyway.

SF Kevin Huerter is the best shooter in the draft but has a hurt hand right now. Hear he should be ready by training camp. Some say he's a better shooter than Curry, has that kinda range.....hmmmmm

How you guys feeling about Oubre for 14 at this point?

I assume you guys are hoping Bridges drops to 14, no?
