It's the day of the draft, what are your thoughts??
Yet again the rumors will be juicer than what the Nuggets actually do....I'll predict they take Knox at 14.
Afterwards TC and Co will talk about how they were working the phones and they thought they had a deal in place but it didn't get done but they're very happy with their pick and look forward to bettering the team via free agency.

I predict that they do something like trading Harris or Murray and we spend the next decade wondering what could have been like the Thunder are doing now while the player we get back ends up being an average starter.

This say Prediction, not fact ...but you nailed it !!
I see us drafting Miles Bridges at 14, good player but not my 1st choice

As much as I hate to do this, I'm going to agree with Sky.

I truly expect we will select Miles Bridges. There are others I would prefer but I suspect they will all be gone by #14. I do believe he'd fit fairly well as the 4th or 5th option, at least in a couple of years. I also believe the Nuggets will send him to the G-League and leave him there for all but about 5 games (like they did with Monte Morris).

Bold prediction because this regime has yet to roll the dice like that...
I see Harris and Murray as average starters now. I'd take a shot at swapping for another average starter. I think Luka will be better than Harris...and we're back on a rookie deal. I feel ya tho Rebel

I thik they have spent the last few years chasing big name free agents, but at this point the cap limits that, so they are going to go after a big name.
I do think you are significantly underrating Murray and Harris, while Murray may be average now he is only 21 years old and has a very high ceiling. Harris is already above average and still improving. If you look at his advanced stats and compare them with all stars like KLay Thompson at the same age Harris is right there with them.
Draft guys never like to admit it, but the whole thing is a crap shoot, the Nuggets have been amongst the best at drafting for the last 6-8 years, and right now we have a bunch of potential, but really only 3 core guys that we have drafted, and that is better than teams like the Kings and Lakers who have had better picks. For some strange reason every draft is reportedly weak or great in March, and reports always flip the last couple of weeks heading into the draft, this was always said to be a weak draft, with limited top end talent, and while I like Doncic, I still do not believe that this draft is going to be much different than 2014, when the value was found scattered throughout the draft, and the upside on the top picks is limited.

I'm afraid you are right on their desire for a big-name and if they actually do what they almost did last year, it will probably not work out well.
I totally agree that Powder is under-estimating both Murray and Harris - especially Murray. Harris compared to Klay Thompson is very good. Harris might be the closest thing to Klay Thompson in this league today - on both ends of the court - and their styles are very similar. Perhaps a little more of a stretch but I think Murray's upside is as close to Steph Curry as anyone in the league at this point - when you consider style of play - on both ends of the court.
I agree that we aren't likely to get a very high upside player at #14 but we don't need another superstar potential guy (although that'd be nice). There's only one ball and we've got three probably All-Stars - what we need is a good role player; someone that can play wing defender against multiple positions, someone that can hit at least an open three, someone that can drive and cut - someone that will make a nice 4th or 5th starter.

Everyone always hypes themselves up this time of year in anticipation of some huge move, but it almost never happens. With all the uncertainty in the top half of the draft, there's going to be a good talented guy on the board at #14. If Miles Bridges is there, I think you keep him for yourself -- and I'd consider that to be a huge win. If not, I'd probably prefer to trade down, dump salary, and pick one of the many other guys that fit our current needs.
Regardless of what happens tonight, this board will likely cry that sky is falling. But imo, this team is on a good trajectory as is. There's no need to do anything monumental.

If they can get Doncic in a decent deal than by all means they should do it, but I am actually of the opinion that they should be trading down and cutting salary while picking up another late 1st.
Say 14 and Faried for the 19th adn 30th, then flipping the 19th with Arthur for a pick around 22 or 23. We draft a young big and a young SF, and if one develops into a starter type we made out great for the sitaution.

If My personal calculations are correct, Denver Nuggets will play playoff every single season next 5 seasons, so this is the last lottery pick for Denver until 2023+! So, of course, I'm excited and hype. I also expecting #14 to be Bridges or Knox, or tall PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
But my biggest wish for tonight is to see Chandler Parsons in Denver, if you understand what I'm trying to say

Mine too. Dončić at SF with Jokić, Harris, Murray and Lyles would be crazy.
Would Memphis do Millsap, Faried, #14 for Parsons and #4 ?

Almost anything but the big-3 for Doncic - I'd be ecstatic.
You know what would make me happy? If we don't draft or trade for a power forward!

If Porter drops all the way to #14 because of the latest medical report; do you want the Nuggets to gamble on him? His talent is extremely high potential.

Millsap 2018-19 paycheck is even bigger than Parsons, especially together with Faried. So instead Millsap, they will ask for someone young under rookie contract (Lyles, Juancho, Beasley)

Yes, of course! Philadelphia made a great job by picking risky Simmons and Embiid. On the other hand no guarantee that healthy ones before NBA will stay healthy forever. Look at Jabari Parker or Porzingis high picks cases.
But to be honest, I don't believe that it is possible that player once projected to be a TOP4 pick, finishes #14.

Yeah Woj just said Porter could be on the board at #14. I'd definitely take that gamble.

Harrison wind said about an hour ago that we were still trying for 4, but probably not willing to pay the asking price.
Fingers crossed for MPJ

But he can play. Parsons can't.
On the other hand i would trade Juancho and Beasley with Faried and 14 for Parsons and #4.

But what he said actually is not encouraging
If a team with two back-to-back picks before Nuggets (Clippers) also dreaming about Porter, no way he will be available at #14
