not a big surprise, PG Monte Morris signs a 3 year $4.8M contract. First two years are guaranteed, seems like a good spot for him, feels like he's earned a spot.
Opens up a 2-way though.

I expect him to spend more time in the Dleague (or hope he will with no available playing time) but he earned this contract by playing hard in the dleague last year and developing well enough to be the best player on our summer league team. Next year he should already be penciled in as our long term backup PG.

Makes sense, but I would love to see him stay with the Nuggets. He could get some playing time. On the other hand, in the G-League he would get lots of playing time. Perhaps they could do with him as they used Craig last year - as many games as possible with the Nuggets.

He just signed a full contract he can be here throughout the season. I would just hate to see him sit at the end of the bench like Beasley. Semd him down and call him up when needed.

With the security of a new contract, I can easily see him being more amenable to playing in the G-league. IT is going to want to prove himself to get a big contract so I can see him playing at his best if possible, backup mins will be gobbled up there,

Oh, I totally agree with you; I just don't believe the Nuggets will send him down. They sent Beasley down for one year but that was before the two-way days. He spent last year down there and they are going to have Porter & Vanderbilt not playing. If for no other reason than that, they'll want him here for practice - just as one more body in case other players have minor injuries they want to rest during practice time. If Morris is in the G-League, they'll only have 12 players able to play - at least to start the season (it seems).
