Just noticed that Sports Illustrated has all 5 of our starting lineup in their top 70 players in the current NBA. Seems some respect coming our way.

I see it in the opposite way.
- I.Thomas, just two years after he was NBA TOP10, is out of TOP100 after just one injury damaged season
- Murray is out of TOP50, so they didn't predict any notable improvement of 21 old
- Jokic is just #18, not even TOP12 on the West (aka all-star) despite he should be all-star already both of past two seasons
But to be fair, Millsap and Barton are maybe a little bit overrated, because Millsap is another year older, and Barton offensive impact will be reduced with healthy Millsap, Murray improvement, and Thomas from the bench.

Well, an injury can cause a precipitous fall in value. Let's see how Thomas does during the season. No doubt others are waiting to see also.
I'd rank Murray higher, but I'm prejudiced. There are 150 starters in the NBA and for the Nuggets to have all five of our starters in the top 2/3 of those is rather impressive. Where they fall in there isn't so important simply because we have three rather young players that most are probably waiting to see prove themselves.
Consider it this way; the Nuggets have all five starters in the top half of the NBA starters. Now that is indeed impressive.

Lol I entered this thread, seeing it was SI's top 100 list, wondering why its all about Nuggets players in here before realizing I was in the Nuggets board.
I thought I was in the GB, I dont even remember clicking "teams", I have no clue how I got here lol
Anyways, you guys have a lot of young promise. I'd like to see you guys get that young star to build your core around.

Maybe you should hold back on the day drinking
As for "young stars", we already have 3 in Jokic, Harris and Murray, you should check them out when you aren't binging the
tea !! Jokic looks ready to make his first All-Star game and we're expecting/hoping Murray makes that next big leap.

Such thread really exists on GB forum, and couple days ago I made some calculations about SI TOP100 list related to all teams which maybe will be interesting to present here too, to see the bigger picture.
THE J0KER wrote:Here are teams SI Power Ranking based on a formula
#1=10pts, #2-#5=8pts, #6-#10=7pts, #11-#20=6pts, #21-#35=5pts, #36-#50=4pts, #51-#75=3pts, #76-#100=2pts.
1. GSW - 32(6)
2. BOS - 27(6)
3. HOU - 26(5)
4. PHI - 22(5)
5. MIN - 21(5)
6. DEN - 20(5) {#18Jokic, #37Millsap, #44Harris, #55Murray, #70Barton}
6. UTA - 20(5)
8. OKC - 19(4)
8. NOP - 19(4)
10. TOR - 18(5)
11. WAS - 17(4)
11. MIL - 17(4)
13. POR - 16(4)
14. LAL - 15(3)
15. SAS - 14(4)
16. IND - 13(4)
17. MIA - 11(4)
18. MEM - 10(3)
18. DET - 10(3)
20. DAL - 9(3)
21. CHA - 8(2)
22. ORL - 7(3)
23. LAC - 6(2)
23. PHO - 6(2)
25. CLE - 5(1)

27. ATL - 2(1)
27. BKN - 2(1)
27. CHI - 2(1)
30. SAC - 0(0)
And if we count only TOP70 players here is teams with more than 2 such players on SI list:
5 - DEN GSW BOS PHI UTA
4 - HOU WAS
3 - MIN OKC NOP TOR MIL POR

Espn put out most of their top 100 list for next season, Barton 68, Millsap 59, Murray 45, Harris 43rd. Jokic is likely top 30.

That seems a bit more appropriate, Millsap at #37 seemed a bit high and Murray at #55 seemed low.

According to the projected individual quality of our starters, we are clearly a TOP10 team in the league this season. Our bench with Thomas, Lyles, and Plumlee (MPJ?) is also TOP10 in the league.
