Malone and the Torrey Craig problem.....

Post#1 » by youngthegiant » Thu Nov 8, 2018 6:54 am

I've had this view since last season, when Malone was giving minutes to Craig over guys like Beasley/Juancho. At this point there is no way anyone can say Malone is not playing favorites. Beasley has stepped up for us, Juancho damn near won us 2 games. What do these guys need to do to see consistent playing time??? They are both better options than Craig who literally does nothing but rebound on offense.
His lack of shooting has been killing us, Gary was getting crowded on his drives tonight because the Grizzlies weren't worried about Craig. Jokic has his Ass parked on the 3pt line trying to create more spacing for his team.Is Malone really this stubborn? Sacrificing the impact of his franchise players to appease a borderline NBA player who frankly has no business playing nonetheless starting on a playoff team.

To play devil's advocate, Popovich never started Manu over less capable players to maintain a rotation format - I think Craig is just there as a place holder until Barton returns.
