Probably the best 1st half we played this season considering who is opponent and where we playing.

I have no big expectations before this game, but now with +10 Denver lead at halftime, it would be sad if we do not use this unexpected opportunity and win.

But this game is still far from over of course. Denver has several epic chokes, and last game Bucks are -18 at halftime vs Bulls, but destroyed them 46-17 in the 3rd quarter. But for tied teams like Bucks and Nuggets, +10 is a huge lead.

Juancho shoots 2-10 (20%), not much of a shooter tonight

Losing game where team lead +17 is always painful. I like the energy team shows in 1st half. Key was 3rd quarter where Giannis scored more than half of his 29 points tonight and for Jokic it was today's worst quarter. Apart of Beasley with career-high 4 threes (out of 7), and Jokic and Murray with their usual 35%-40% 3pt% production, rest of the team shoot for the 3pt just 3/21, which is a reason why we can't score more than 21pts in 3rd or 4th quarter after the great 1st half. Embarrassing status Nuggets has with officials continues, tonight we have to shoot under 10 free throws (opponent over 20), but compared with criteria we have vs Pelicans, this is still a progress. Murray was closest ever to the triple-double with 17-8-9 numbers, and Beasley scored 4 (career-high) 3pts which I already mentioned are game highlights for Denver. I like the efforts, but I don't like results.

Too much standing around on offense - and on defense.

We are 24th in the league in 3pt % and average around 30 3pt shots per game. Last night we took 41! That typically means "standing around and shooting late in the clock" (my opinion).

29-27 Denver leads 1st quarter
27-21 Denver leads 2nd quarter
32-21 Milwaukee destroys Denver's 3rd quarter
26-21 Milwaukee cruises to a win while Denver snoozes to a loss

Motion, motion, motion - especially because Thomas & Barton are injured and except for Murray, we don't have any other decent ISO players (and Murray's still learning).

This team really seems complacent, an infusion of a Barton or IT return looks like it could do wonders IMO.

Something is going on with this roster, I cannot put my finger on it.

They never seem to be on the same page on defense. Some are switching others are going through screens, help comes sometimes others not so much, sometimes guys are playing the passing lanes while the others are playing faceup. Our defense is a mess and that is a big part of it.

Now on offense it is a mess. The only ones that are playing that are natural scorers are Murray and Lyles. This team goes through long stretches passes the ball out of good shots and ending up with a worse shot. Then it seems that everyone decides to play iso ball at the same time. It is like there are no plays at all, and nobody has a clue what their roles are on the court.

Then other times everybody is working well together for short stretches so I am not so sure if it is a coaching or chemistry problem that has come up the last few weeks.

Our defense this season is good, and the yesterday game vs Milwaukee is not the exception. Bucks are a team with a 2nd best 114+ OFRTG this season so far (best offense after GSW), so no reasons to complain against 104 pts they scored. Our own offense collapsed in the 2nd half with just 36%FG% when Denver scored only 42 points, and we should blame it for this loss.

Our defensive rating has dropped 9 points per 100 possessions over the last 7 games, our defense fell apart at the same time our record did. In fact our offense has actually improved over the last 7 games as well.

It is almost like Malone is trying to run the defense like an offense, switching style all the time, and guys are getting screwed up. They are also not talking on defense, which makes me wonder if there are growing factions in the lockerroom or if some guys just are not paying attention. It is a team problem, and they need to get on the same page.

Seems like a repeat of last year and the year before and the year before and the year before.
