We don't need him at all if he is not at least 90% ready (whole last season he is not 80% of himself). Last season Denver has bottom-10 bench in the league, so I see our savior in him when he signs this summer. But the way how Juancho, Morris, Beasley, even veteran Plumlee improved this season, makes of him less important factor in Nuggets 2018-19 regular season success story. But if he recovers properly, he can be very valuable for the Nuggets in tied games vs strong opponents during clutch time moments.

What type of minutes do you think he will get off the bench and when do you expect him back?

With a comeback of Barton and debut of Thomas, I expect Monte Morris will be shut down, except in back-to-back games where IT will not be used in one of them (like Kawhi now in Toronto, or Butler in Minnesota prior trade). Craig will be shut down completely, and depending on the who is the opponent, only ones between Juancho and Beasley will be SF backup. Rookies Porter Jr and Vanderbilt will not debut this season. Despite 13+ useful players, I don't think Malone will use more than 9-10 per game if we do not count blowout wins cases or some tactical 2-3 minutes episodes. That means those who will play will get some normal playing time, in Isaiah Thomas backup-PG case that means between 20-25 minutes when playing.

That is just my suppositions.
