It might surprise you to know that I believe the Nuggets will win tonight's game (but probably not by a lot). I do not believe Jokic will give such a lackluster effort and I do not believe Murray will struggle against them two games in a row.

Nice little teaser to see how Malone does with his adjustments.
Side note, but it's become very clear that Jokic does not like playing with Torrey Craig. Seems like that was the reason he was refusing to shoot earlier in the season. I wish Malone would just start Beasley.

Interesting thought about Craig. I hadn't observed that but ... I would love to see Beasley starting. Craig seems best suited to coming off the bench.

I will say that we will take a L here but who knows never thought we would do this good with this many injuries so who knows.

Notice you change your Favorite team over to a Sonics fan, although I never believed you to have a true allegiance to the Nuggets. Please don't use the word "we" when referring to the Nuggets, true Nuggets fans find it a bit annoying

With all these injuries we are still too good at home court with winning last 7 games, but we need at least one important guy back very soon to terrorize opponents on the road once again. We now remind me on Denver from last season, an elite team at the home, but below average on the road.
Perfect 1st half from Murray and Beasley, with Jokic playing like an all-star (unlike 2 days ago vs the same opponent), and with brand new Nuggets great defense is back again, so +14 at halftime is the result.

This would be a tragic, a painful loss if we lose. Instead of a routine win after the almost perfect 1st half, we started 2nd half on pathetic way scoring only 2pts in opening 5 minutes. Spurs are the best NBA team this season in 3pt% and FT% but in last 2 minutes they are 0-3 for 3pt and FT 4-8, so we are so lucky at the end to win this with Jokic and Craig fouled out, and Beasley injured (Jamal played injured too last minutes).
I feel sorry for Beasley to be injured in such a moment, after scoring back-to-back over 20 points, a player which never before scored over 20 pts. Let's hope the injury is not serious. Without his great game tonight, 21-9-9 Jokic and 31-6-3 Murray will not be enough for this win.

Okay relax Skywalker, no need to get petty over something so small. If you haven’t noticed, the SuperSonics aren’t a team anymore. And frankly if you find it annoying than maybe the issue has to do with you more than it does with Darklight. This isn’t some exclusive club for diehard Nuggets fans only. If the man has decided to support the Nuggets now that Seattle isn’t a team than let him say “we.”

I knew we wouldn’t hang on to that 18 point lead, bruised and battered still made enough plays at the end to win it.
Swaggy gettin some minutes tomorrow for sure. Nuggets need to get healthy, also may need to trade for a 4, Lyles ain’t it lately.

SoN, thought I was being chill.....but before you defend him, show me ONE post of Darklight's posts that is 100% positive in nature toward the Nuggets...just ONE. He always seems to have a back-handed slap in his posts and that's not cool on anyone forums

After a nice 1st half, the Nuggets started the 3rd quarter with too many 3pt shots and for the Nuggets, that means no movement. Lack of movement also tends to bring more turnovers and 21 for the game is just too many. When they don't move on offense, they tend to not move much on defense either. It got better in the 4th quarter, but not much.
Plumlee led the rebounding dominance but it was a team effort. That was the best aspect of the Nuggets' game. The nicest thing about this game is that once again, the Nuggets managed to hold on to win a close game. They've done that a few times this year and not often in the last three years.
Curious to see Goodwin see 6 minutes - especially because Morris has been playing well (although not so great tonight).

Here we go again. Lyles was usually tragical but Skywalker immediately jumps to blame Juancho. Like who cares he shot 10% from field, 50% from line, had several turnovers and his version of "help defense" was pure comedy. Expecting Sky to reminds us Lyles had 7 rebounds so he was great after all.
Nah, not trying to start argument, Sky. Just wish Malone would give us 5-8 minutes of Lydon or Welsh. If they'd be bad we could be like yeah Lyles sucks but at least he is not them.
Overall- amazing first half defense. Second half was kinda frustrating. Bad defense, mindless turnovers, Jokič had some moments where he looked pissed on his teammates, was lazy to get back... (and forgot to mention he didn't care about boxing out)
Like I am sure happy Nuggets won but right now I finished the game where the whole second half I thought "of course they're gonna screw it...."

Here we go again: Hernangomez & Craig & Lyles & Beasley & Morris & Plumlee are inconsistent. They are called role players and they are not the players the team depends on. You take the good with the bad with role players. We have six significant role players.
We have three star players and that's who we depend on: Jokic, Harris, Murray.
We have two significant additional starters that we also depend on: Millsap & Barton.
We have some players that we don't know enough about, at least in terms of the Nuggets. IMO Malone has always been slow to bring young players along - too slow in his first three years. But now, with so many players, it's understandable.
So we have a handful of other players we don't know enough about, for various reasons: Thomas, Young, Goodwin, Welsh, Lydon, Akoon-Purcell, Vanderbilt, Porter. Time will tell if they become significant or not.

Well, Maf, I did agree Lyles had such a terrible game, even easy for me to see. But was what I said about Juancho wrong ?? Did he have a great game in a starting role ??
Please, if you want to come at me, bring a better game.
And love how you give YoungtheGiant a pass, ALL HE EVER DOES IS COMPLAIN ABOUT LYLES, even after Mods requested he bring something more than his constant Lyles-bitching (which he doesn't or perhaps can't) !!!

I don't think all Denver role players have problems with consistency. Plumlee and Morris are very consistent, at least this month. Barton is for me role player even as the starter, and he is consistent too. Lyles was consistent last season during Millsap injury, but unfortunately, the rest of last season, and this season, he is *consistent* on the bad way. Craig is consistent in defense which is his basic duty and role. Juancho and Beasley ups and downs cases are little bit extreme, but we should be patient with them and happy about ceiling they showed on many games. Both barely played past two years, and then suddenly after Barton early injury both are now in the position to play 25+ minutes every night. It is completely new territory for them, and players which probably the biggest offensive weapons are threes will always have some kind of consistency problems, so I'm happy with them till they average around 40% 3pt%.
Talking about starters, Jokic is arguably NBA TOP10 player of the 2nd half of the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, but this season he is finally that good since the start of the season. Murray is our clearly #2 player so far only because of Harris and Millsap injuries, he still didn't improve enough to be constantly better than these two, even in the offense, but we see enough flashes about his ceiling, and time is on his side. Talking about MPJ, I'm very happy to see that this 2018 draft class is one of probably best ever estimated, without a single bust into TOP11 picks, TOP5 especially, and just about a week before the draft, MPJ is projected as TOP5 pick of this stunning class. We have all reasons for high expectations about him
