Playoff Rotations

Post#1 » by NuggetsWY » Fri Mar 8, 2019 2:31 pm

During the playoffs, rotations are usually shortened. What will Malone do this year? Clearly our starters are set as Jokic, Millsap, Barton, Harris, Murray. Do you think they will all average over 30 mpg? It seems likely.

So who gets the bench minutes? Assuming 32 mpg for each starter, there will be around 80 mpg available for bench players.

Plumlee is a lock for 20+ mpg in my opinion. Will he get more? How many PF minutes will he fill? Lyles? Hernangomez? Craig? Who gets the backup forward minutes besides Plumlee?

Beasley seems likely to get 20+ mpg at both SG & SF. Will Thomas get the backup PG minutes? Does Morris sit and watch? (I hope not!) 10-15 mpg seems available here.

Assuming Jokic, Millsap, Barton, Harris, Murray as starters with Millsap & Beasley & Morris being the primary bench players; how many minutes will others play during the playoffs? Especially in the first couple of rounds, there are lots of days off, so assuming everyone is healthy ...

I may have a different opinion of whom should play how many minutes but it seems likely Malone will use the above 8 players with Craig probably getting a few minutes with Hernangomez and/or Lyles potentially getting just a few minutes.
