Now I could see us going for Air Gordon, hopefully not Griffin

It was a really tough night for the Nuggets, but they did the right thing: do not overpay (even if I tought both Grant and Wood wuold be good fit in Denver's system). Right now the best thing to do is hit the trade market, there are a lot of players with good contract that can offer to Denver what they need (Gordon, Pj Tucker, Bielija, or even veteran presence like Ariza, Gay, JJ Reddick).

I agree we have the assets and cap flexibility to find the starting PF in a trade. My proposals

Aaron Gordon
PJ Tucker
Thaddeus Young

Obviously Prio1 would be Gordon, but a rotation Tucker - Green is pretty solid IMO

In FA, we coould try to land one of Millsap or Markieff Morris (BAE)

The Nuggets are using the non-taxpayer mid-level exception to sign Green, which triggers the hard cap. But Denver could still try to re-sign Millsap.

We should try to work a S&T with Detroit for 2 TPEs. It would be dumb not to.

We could do it, but I doubt Detroit would consider either of them. I wouldn't mind Svi though if we are losing Craig and KBD.

Agreed, even if we don't use them this season we may need them next year at the start of free agency.

When was the last TPE we used? Not sure if we got Foye on TPE or we got Foye AND Tpe

We got Grant last summer using a pick and a TPE from dumping Chandler the summer before.

I'd prefer to keep Bol, but I think I'd do this deal. I also think the Pacers are going to say "Not enough".

Depending on are Pacers in "WIN NOW" mode or this is a transitional season for them.

You are right. In that case Barton, Bol, Morris, and Zeke for Turner.

The point is to make the starting lineup more competitive in the title race, and also Turner is one of few bigs able to fight against superb PF's Davis and Giannis.

We need to see what we have with Zeke. The more I see of his film, the more I see why the Nuggets drafted him. Even Bol has upside. If both are our power forwards/small forwards of the future, then we need to develop them and not be too short sighted on their NBA path. Green can definitely play and he, along with Millsap as a spot player, will hold down the power forward slot until either Zeke or Bol arrive. I see us as being fairly deep at this position with internal growth available.

At the moment, the bigger problem is with backup center and limitations due to hard cap. Turner is looking for a starting slot and will be very expensive.

The more video I watch on Turner the less I want him, I would do Barton and Bol for him, but I am not adding in picks. The reason he has been shopped for over a year with no takers is that teams see that he is soft, he does not like contact and avoids the paint as much as possible. That is not something you want in a starting big.

We can only offer him a minimum deal, which seems to be what everybody else is offering him. I would love to have him just to teach Jokic and the other young guys some of the tricks he has learned over the years.

I wonder if we could work out a sign and trade with the Raptors of some sort if we get a TPE from Detroit. Ariza would be another guy worth us looking into.
