There has been a lot of commentary on the Denver Nuggets' increased focus on defense. There are still plenty of national media people saying things like "Denver runs a motion offense" (which is not really the case this year).
There has been a lot of commentary on the Nuggets scoring less.
My initial reaction is that we need to focus on out-scoring the other teams while making a solid effort on defense.
Interestingly, last year we outscored our opponents by 4 ppg and this year we are outscoring our opponents by 4 ppg. Both numbers are reduced (but our pace has reduced also).
Yes, I'd like to see our offense run a little differently but I do like the defense better this year.
