Game 73 (bubble#8): Denver Nuggets (46-26) vs Toronto Raptors (52-19)

Final bubble game which not means anything to both teams.

Nuggets playing without Harris, Barton, and Porter, but Raptors playing without two best players Siakam and Lowry, so Nuggets are favorites if starters will play a full schedule (including 4th quarter).

Personally I don't like Malone choose MPJ for rest in this game, because every single minute for him in a new role, playing together with Jokic and Murray, can be a useful experience for the playoff.

What is wrong with this Stanley Johnson when he playing vs Nuggets.

He destroyed Gary Harris's previous season with dirty unnecessary foul, and now make flagrant foul in a useless game, and even complaining.

And BTW I actually can understand why Malone rested MPJ in a game like this... but why Bol Bol?

Stanley Johnson was a busted #eight pick in the 2015 draft by the Detroit Pistons. A few days ago he hits a game winning shot to beat the 76ers with both teams playing 3rd stringers. As he has basically bounced around the league, he is desperate to find a spot in the NBA and he may have one with the Raptors.

My only memory about him was a Piston's fan who routinely appeared on this board and argued that we would regret passing on drafting Stanley Johnson. Never saw that fan again.

On what about Bol Bol, I think we see him a bunch today.

What is the point of playing starters just 10 minutes and resting one of them? A few days ago Nikola Jokic is just a fourth NBA player ever with 20+10+7 season, but after two games (of last three) with just one single rebound, he will finish the season with 9.9 rebounds on average.

Thank you, coach Malone... I go to watch now some European soccer. :noway:

I doubt Jokic even noticed, he rarely plays like statistics mean anything to him. That's part of why he is special.

While I know it comes in a "who cares" type game, glaring how one-dimensional Torrey Craig's game is

True. I scream at the TV when they pass him the ball with little time left on the 24 second clock.

We’re off until Monday, really would’ve been nice to see Barton (did I really say that ?) and/or Harris to get some game time with the team

I liked seeing Grant & Millsap playing together. Against either LA team that might be required.

Craig seems to be a fairly decent one-on-one defender but his team defense isn't real smooth. His shooting is either hot or very cold. Makes a nice third option at SF.

Dozier doesn't look good in the career stats but every time I see him, he's looking better all-around.

Bates-Diop hasn't been given many minutes in Denver or even Minnesota, but I see potential there. He gives a nice effort and isn't too bad on defense. I still think he'd make a decent second option at SF.

Daniels seems like a nice fit for a third SG - he's better than I thought.

Plumlee hustled on defense and looked decent over-all.

Cook jumped in with an impact on the boards.

I knew we were deep, but we might just be deeper than I thought.
