With the upward success the Nuggets have been running the past couple of years, and the continued demise the Broncos seemed to be wallowing, do the Nuggets have a shot to surpass the Broncos popularity anytime soon ?

Back in the late 70s and early 80s the Nuggets were a a lot more popular but they were still clearly 2nd place to the Broncos, and that was before the Broncos ever won a superbowl. I would be happy if we could even get back to a firm 2nd most popular.

Truth is that I am not sure the Nuggets are even in the top 3 for popularity in Denver right now. I heard people calling in to 104.3 the fan to bitch about coach Karl during the damn playoffs, they had no idea who the coach is, and many people could not tell you who is on the team.

Nope, no chance.

I like all the Denver teams, they are all popular to me (although I am losing some interest in the Rockies lately).

They are already the most popular Denver/Colorado sports franchise in Europe and Canada
