He's not the power forward of our future, but I like adding him to our rotation. Good job by our front office to get JaMychal Green!

Green used to be a monster before his injury issues in Memphis. Now I am not sure that is who we want as our starting PF, so I hope the young guys come to camp having worked and ready to compete for the starting job.

Stats and analytics isn't everything but it basically indicates that this guy is a straight upgrade over Grant

Not as versatile on defense but a better scorer and rebounder, which Grant was always surprisingly bad at for a guy that athletic and lengthy.

Green is a guy I have somewhat followed over the years, he was basically what Grant was supposed to be when he was younger. He was very athletic with a dependable shot and could guard 2-5s. Injuries took some of the athleticism while he was in Memphis, so he can no longer guard SGs, but he also has become more of a physical player that likes to mix it up a little bit.
I know people remember Grant for his handful of good games in the playoffs, but if you really look at what he did, he was not exactly great during the playoffs. He was also not great during the regular season, some stats had him as the worst guy in our rotation. I am fine with him being gone, and Green can fill the role of a 3 and D PF for us better without this belief that he is better than he is.

Right now rosters are loaded so we may be able to find a PF replacement in TC. We have some trade pieces in Barton and Morris so there are options. That said, I don't see a lot more moves for the Nuggets, probably just signing Millsap to a team-friendly 1+1TO.

JaMychal Green is cleared to play tonight, and the fact that Porter will not play only makes chances of Green debut higher. Also, thanks to MPJ suspension in next few games Green will probably play some minutes at SF spot too.

Green should be a welcome addition especially with MPJ out. He could help with our interior defense one way or another.
