Well, Murray usually rises up to the level of some competition, perhaps playing against Brogdan will light some kinda fire under his butt. We surely can use a butt-burner tonight.

When a player is shooting as bad as Millsap is, why is he getting PT ?? We only have so many games he can shoot us out of ... :banghead:

Awful third quarters continue...

Edit: Into one of our best 4th quarters of the year. This team sometimes is confusing. It seemed like we were super sluggish at times today. Not sure if guys were out shoveling and wore themselves out or something but it looked bad at times tonight.

After the way the Nuggets finished the 3rd, I certainly didn't see that 4th quarter coming. That was impressive by the bench.

Another win.
Another Jokic big game.
Another Barton 20+ game with 5 threes.
Another Porter 20-8 game with played 30+ minutes.
Another Millsap not starter game as starter.
Another 3rd quarter collapse.

Deja vu.

Nice to win - but not an impressive game IMO. Scoring was fine, mostly starters, but that's okay. Defense was terrible - not the total score, but it was their guards that kept the Pacers in the game. Our defense against their guards was not good at all.

Did anyone else notice Porter setting picks off the ball? He didn't get many chances because the Nuggets preferred offense is to stand around and watch someone else with the ball. I feel like saying it every game, but I try to resist. I'll say it again anyway. It is not real complicated to play a Jokic-centric offense.

1. Give Jokic the ball at the top of the key.
2. Everyone start moving and cutting toward the hoop and set back picks for teammates.
3. Repeat.

If they actually did that, anyone on the team could score 20-30 points per game - if they hustle. Lots of layups, even in traffic. Wide-open 3s. Jokic ends up with 10 pts - 12 rebounds - 20+ assists - and he would be very happy.

We could call that "Play #1" and all other plays called would be called "Jokic on the bench #1" - "Jokic on the bench #2" and so on.

Jokic had poor game last night . Porter would rather die than pass the ball to Jokic, only when he's going to lose the ball he makes desperate pass to him like the last night. There was obvious situation against Dallas in fourth quarter , when he refused to pass the ball to Jokic who was asking for the ball , Jokic just made three point shot before that, instead he passed the ball to Campazzo who missed badly. Porter in general is a poor passer and the team player on the offense , but especially with Jokic he always refuses to pass the ball, thats why Jokic is often frustrated with Porter , hopefully their chemistry can get better.
