2021 Buyout market

Unfortunately, this season Buyout market is flooded with frontcourt players, centers and forward-centers especially, the position where the Nuggets roster is stacked already. What we need the most right now IMO (after Harris exit) is a backup guard with decent defense. Maybe Avery Bradley or for example Rodney Hood can improve Nuggets?

Other contenders make some strong buyout moves already, Nets get two former all-stars Griffin and Aldridge, Lakers are close to getting prime-Drummond.

I am still hoping that Otto Porter Jr gets bought out, but it is not looking likely at this point.

HOod has been terrible this year.

Bradley makes some sense as a backup SG, but I guess with Campazzo and Barton/Morris getting most of the backup guard minutes I don't see him wanting to come and sit on the end of the bench.

Wouldnt mind Hood if he is bought out, but how likely is that? He could be backup SG and get some time at SF when matchups are good..

The acquisition of McGee speaks loud to me, says we already knew the buyout market, much like the free agent market, isn't our strength. Even if we had an open spot on this roster, high profile FA's aren't coming here, just accept that.

Avery would be the choice I'd make, but he's only 6-3 but has a huge wingspan. Probably faster than Gary Clark but shorter and not as stout so a bit of a trade off there.

Connelly said they traded for McGee because they needed somebody to fight against Drummond and not forcing Jokic that much, as happened in WCF.

Bradley is the best option, but he is rummored to go to Lakers as well

Just like the Nuggets, if they want to add Bradley they'd have to waive someone, McKinnie would be their likely choice IMO

AB and Hood would be perfect for this roster.

When did Connelly mention Drummond? I must've missed that

Don't know if Connelly straight out said it but many writers have reasoned this out. Based upon what happened last playoffs, it makes sense

What is our biggest need now? Gordon is a combo guard in my opinion; but so is Green & Porter as well as Nnaji. So I wouldn't mind a pure SF coming off the bench: Clark might be that guy? He's not a big-time scorer, but he hustles on both ends.

On the other hand, our best SG is probably Barton - who runs hot-and-cold and I'm not talking about just his shooting. Dozier is beginning to look like he fits better at SG or SF than the PG slot he was originally believed to fit. Murray & Morris can both slid into SG. Could we use a nice SG?

I wouldn't object to keeping our current roster, but I wouldn't object to adding one more player that might be a playoff contributor.

My choices out of the buyout market:

Otto Porter - Physical SF - Not a great year, but a change just might make a difference - he has that kind of potential IMO
Ennis - Physical SF that can shoot & get some rebounds
    Bradley - Two way guard
Ellington - 3pt SG and good at it (shoots more 3s than 2s)
Hood - SF/SG - can provide bench scoring at both wing slots

Some options are Troy Daniels and Gerald Green, according to Mike also

Out of those options I guess I would go with Green, but I have to think there is someone out there better than those 2.

Sounds to me like Clark figured out he wasn't getting off the bench and asked out.

We have been rumored to be interested in Miller in the past, he is a good fit for what we need. Can we get a real buyout guy for once?

We could sign Patrick McCaw so he gets 4th ring

I know its not a buyout, but with G League team next year I would love if LAC dont pick up the option on Jay Scrub and we can get him

YEah, one of my favorite targets from last year's draft. He'd be a perfect replacement off the bench for Barton, may not be as proficient on defense as he is on offense but he'd provide a punch.

Good call PSI !

I'm not excited about this. Both are (former) 3pt specialists and Denver is TOP5 team this season in 3p%! Extra guard we need should be a defensive specialist.
