Would anyone trade 26 for okc 34 and 35?

Future 1st and 26 for 16 and 34 and 35?

Into the 20’s on draft boards mock draft and still a ton of guys mentioned as hopeful 26 picks around here still available. Real draft could be very similar.

Way interested in Vrenz B 6-10 SF from Belgium

McBride is way closer to Davion Mitchell as a defensive guard

Roko P another favorite. I honestly believe Cancar and maybe even bolbol are way better than it might appear if given playing time. And Im a huge believer that NNAJI is a stud. Have been thinking anything but a pf but wonder about Roko. Also wonder if isiah Jackson could defend wings if he could be a AG type

Wieskamp has to be considered at 26 also. Would be a really smart pick to trade in for if not at 26. Duncan Robinson would be an ideal free agent to bring in but prob to costly. Wieskamp could fill same role maybe. Way cheaper

Nope - 2nds, even good ones can be purchased for cash. I like a late 1st more than 2nds - but this one is close.
Coeur wrote:Future 1st and 26 for 16 and 34 and 35?

Absolutely yes; a higher 1st is the best thing for us IMO. Adding those two 2nds would be nice.

I'm smiling!
Coeur wrote:Way interested in Vrenz B 6-10 SF from Belgium

I'd like him as a mid or late 2nd. He's smother than Bol, but seems unlikely to play PF. But having him as a backup SF would be nice.

But we already have plenty of small guards. If we don't keep Howard and Harrison, I wouldn't object to McBride.

Prkacin would be a 6'9" SF that could probably play a little PF and maybe even some SG. He has some nice rebounding numbers. He'd be a deep bench, development type. Malone wouldn't play an 18 year old unless he shocks everyone.

As for Jackson, I hadn't thought about him covering wings. Everyone broadcasts him as a big but until he fills out a little, I could see him covering some wings - not sure he'd be at Gordon's level, but maybe adequate. I think he'd also be a long-term project that would see little time for a couple of years. Unfortunately, it appears he'll be gone before 26, but if he's there - grab him!

I totally agree about Cancar & Bol & Nnaji.

I think Wieskamp will be available in the 2nd round and I like the comparison to Robinson. He's a 3 yr college guy, so he might even get a few minutes.

Very interesting project, similar to Poku but looks at least 3-4 years out IMO, dude is so skinny.

Interesting thoughts here, I like Roko in the 2nd, I think he could be better than Cancar (although I am not high on Cancar, feels like he saves his best for Int'l play). Seems like Bol has great skills, but no basketball HEART, think he'll be traded. Nnaji is a player, hearing they want to utilize him at backup C, not sure that'll be his best position as I see him more as a PF in the NBA. And Jackson, we definitely both see something here. While I'd rather go guard/wing at 26 he'd be hard to pass up IMO

Robinson does seem like a good comparison but I haven't seen enough of Weiskamp to see a fit here on the Nuggets. I'll plead the 5th on him,

Jalen J 6-9 SF (Sg-pf)
Keon 6-5 SG (pg defender
Vrenz B 6-10 Sg/SF (1-3 offensively)
I Jackson 6-11 pf (1-5 defender?)
Wieskamp 6-7 SG (7 ft wingspan + great athletic testing at combine + best shooter in draft=?)

Two day until the draft, I doubt Keon or Jalen are available unless we move up, again which I doubt. We've always allowed the draft to fall, then take the best player there.

Vrenz is a mid-to-late 2nd at best, either a draft-n-stash for several years or a bench project father out than Bol IMO.

Jackson looks like the closest to out range but I don't see him falling all the way to us and drafting him seems redundant to getting Nnaji mins .

Looking into Wieskamp, had a great Combine but never shined bright for his team, seems like a good bench guy but we could use more defense than he provides.

Feels like they'll trade the pick away or go for a combo defender, Donsunmu would fit the bill or perhaps Primo for his potential, but even he looks a couple of years away.

And this, my friends is why I am know as the "Nuggets Forum Mock Draft Champion" *

Alabama’s Joshua Primo and Illinois’ Ayo Dosunmu are two of the prospects Wasserman has heard linked to the Nuggets at No. 26.

* or could be that I've read this all on the Interweb

Well, Primo went higher than I expected, SAS took him at 12. I like him but that's an overpay based on potential.

Surprised Keon went as low as he did.

Hyland, a PG/SG combo here. A bit of a surprise but can shoot, has playmaking skills and has deep range. Surprised as he's more of a PG, especially since we have Morris and Facu but has good size at the PG position.

Nah'Shon Hyland is an interesting choice. Potentially one of the best shooters in the class. We needed guard much more than frontcourt player, but even if NSH wins Summer League MVP award I don't see Malone will use him over 10mpg in his rookie season. Quentin Grimes (chosen right before #26 as #25) as a year older and better in defense would maybe receive bigger attention from Malone. If Denver moved just 5 places in the draft via some trade, there would be available some 3 extra SG's (Keon Johnson, Josh Christopher, Quentin Grimes).

I like the Hyland pick a lot. Jalen Johnson and Keon lasting into the 20’s, wished a pick in that area could have been acquired

Bones is one of the exact things that Nugs have needed for a while. Jamal Crawford like scoring guard off the bench. Even better off ball shooter and overall 3 point shooter. But has the creation of his own ans others shots too

This guy can shoot. Same pattern as with TC's past with taking a flyer on a guy who has a reputation for good shooting. The Nuggets like point/combo guards but the concern I have is whether the Nuggets are filling the shooting guard slot.

Does this mean that Barton is more likely to be returning?
Canned in Denver.

It is highly unlikely that any draft pick this year will see much playing time. The Nuggets are drafting for the future and perhaps hoping a draft pick will fit in a lineup based around Jokic, Porter, & Murray.

In normal years I'd agree that Malone won't play rookies, been his stigma since he's been here. But with our Championship window wide open, being w/o Murray, and MPJ available for a big extension, this does put a different perspective on this upcoming year. We really do need to utilize all the talent we can muster, even Jokic knows it, he even asked TC for footage of the new rookie. That's gotta say something to the FO IMO.
