Every opponent whose best player is a guard is tricky for Nuggets right now, especially when another our guard is out (Morris this time). But still, Denver is clearly a better team here, and our awesome frontcourt line should be enough.

Guards - that's this game.

Barton & Campazzo starting - not a good defensive combination.
Dozier & Harrison & Howard as backups - should be interesting (hope).

Gutsy win by the Nuggets.

Was only able to watch the closing minutes of the 4th till the 2nd OT. How come Gordon wasn't playing?

Disappointed in Facu' s game again, 1-8 shooting ain't cutting it in the NBA. He's better off against backups, more his speed.

At the same time, he is probably our best defender against quick guards by far.

What a game! Joker killed it and Barton and MPJ stepped up. I think we will need more Barton and Joker two-man game when the game is on the line. It's really the only thing close to Jokic and Murray.

Joker 47-15-8 NBA MVP! Not actually close to his best games this season, but when such a player suddenly gets the opportunity to play 45 minutes due to 2OT such monster stats is no surprise.

Barton saved us twice with 3pt great shooting (5-6 overall), and together with the defense he definitely should be focused on threes instead of trying hero-balls (3-13 for 2pt).

MPJ passive (21-7 is not great for a double OT game) with only one big quarter (12p in 4th), but still a player with the highest +/- tonight (+17).

Campazzo awful looking at numbers and numbers of Morant which he can't cover as undersized, but in reality, Facu saved Nuggets several times in the 4th quarter and both OT.

Green+Millsap 9-11 good contribution from the bench, as well Dozier in defense with all-around 10-5-5 episode.

Gordon played his worst game as a Nuggets player and fact that we almost lost against some underdog shows how important is he for Nuggets, especially since Murray's injury so no more granted wins.

We steal this win on an amazing way twice, so I don't want to complain and criticize guys (and coach) why and how opponent without several injured starters lead +12 around 3 minutes before the end of the regular or +5 in the last minute of the first overtime, or why we have 24 turnovers.

I like how hard Shaq Harrison played, he may not be a great talent but he is fine for a spot hustle guard. Makes me wonder why we are holding Howard though, there have got to be guards out there that can help while Morris is out.

This team is going to exit in the first round of the play off's , of course if they secure the play off spot. Denver is lacking fire power from the guard positions , players who can generate the points, good shooters. I hope I am wrong but it looks and feels like that, unfortunately :-?

We were lucky to win this game. Memphis definitely played with more energy and intensity for most of the game. Luck added to the quietest 47 points Jokic has ever produced.

Jokic scored and scored and scored - when we all know he'd rather pass and pass and pass. But he only had 8 assists. That happens when the Nuggets are standing around watching Jokic.

Porter, Millsap, & Green had solid games at the forward slots.

Barton had a decent game on one end of the court, but it was disgusting how many times Grizzlies guards blew by him as if he were a statue. Oh, by the way, almost all of his minutes were as a guard.

Dozier & Harrison gave a decent defensive effort but they couldn't do much on offense.

On the other had, Campazzo was ineffective on defense and worse on offense. His occasional nice defensive plays were over-shadowed in my opinion, by players going by him. It seemed he was a half-step slow for most of the game - and there's no excuse for that with his quickness. As usual, our opponent's guards shot right over him more than once.

Am I being too harsh on our guards? Consider that Memphis had 6 players in double figures in points and four of those were guards.
Morant shot 13-24.
Allen shot 8-20.
Melon shot 9-17.
Konchar shot 4-7.
Their top-4 guards in terms of minutes played, shot 34-68 - 50% and that includes 3pt shots at 13-28 or 46%.

Watched only highlights, but even there it seemed like they were making everything, even some 3s almost from the logo were going in - Memphis was redlining and the Nuggets were meh and they still won, I'll take it.
