30y old rookie Campazzo and two-way contract Harrisson are guards starters today vs East TOP4 seed, but Denver is still favorite to win this game

That's actually funny. Do we call this the Jokic-effect?

Literally perfect 1st quarter. Unfortunately MVP Jokic doesn't have killer instinct like most of the other superstars, so instead of hunting 60+ game after 24p quarter he takes only one single shot in 2nd quarter.

Great blowout win vs #4 East team. Jokic was bored after epic 24pts/4dunks 1st quarter so this game will be more remembered for Rivers 25p and Campazzo all-around performances.

Unless my eyes deceived me, the Nuggets started Compazzo, Millsap, Gordon, MPJ and Jokic. That's 4 bigs and a point guard. That's gotta be the first time for the Nuggets with that lineup and they blew the Knicks out in the first quarter.

Harrison and Rivers are part of the regular rotation. Who saw that coming? Rivers looked like his old self hitting 3's.

If we are not going to use Howard when we have no other choice than why still have him on the roster?

That's a good question. I have yet to see him gain confidence in his shot yet in his limited play. I see moments where you can see the potential, I just haven't seen that confidence that he had in college. That said, his defense is probably added on top of that. If he is going to find time, he will need to be a spark plug, because he will probably never be great on defense.

Monte Morris barely played in his first season and he turned out alright, I'm not worried - this is not the right time for Howard to get his minutes, unless there's really nobody else available. I expect him to get a lot of G League time next season now the Nuggets finally have a G League team and build from there. Same for Bol.

Remarkable 1st quarter by Jokic - but he coasted the rest of the way. I believe all 15 of his FTs were in the 1st quarter.

Did you notice that Campazzo was the only other starter to get a FT? That's right ZERO free throws for Millsap + Gordon + Porter.

Even worse, Gordon had zero points.

I have a suggestion for Coach Malone. When making your lineup card for each game, start Jokic & Porter, put the rest of the names in a hat and pick three names to start. Then pick four names to come off the bench.

It sure does seem like the rest of the team takes turns having good games.

Speaking of good games, Rivers had a great scoring game but did you notice Camazzo's game? He had 16 points but he added 9 rebounds + 4 assists + 5 steals + 2 blocks!

Austin Rivers was great off the bench.

I watched this game and I am convinced that even with the absence of Murray that the Nuggets will be making the finals. Jokic and MPJ is so fun to watch, and I think once Murray heals up you guys should try trading him for another off ball 3&D scorer.

Thanks for the hope, a little precarious for us since Murray went down. However, if you feel we can get to the Finals without Murray, trading that kinda firepower seems foolish IMO. With Jokic, Murray and MPJ, we could be a dynasty. Not discounting finding a 3&D off-ball scorer, we do have other assets we can throw out to find that IMO.

Thanks Goober but I think Denver now has three players that are totally untouchable in terms of trades. They are three very different players and it is difficult to imagine any player that would fit better than these three.

Jokic can post up, high and low. He can shoot from anywhere, but his greatest skill is his passing. Add in that his defense is far better than most people give him credit for ... well, a triple-double threat at center is unreal.

Porter can shoot from anywhere regardless of the defense. He's not afraid to drive to the basket. He's made serious strides in improving his defense and is a double-double threat every game - even on nights when Jokic gets a triple-double. Oh my goodness.

Murray can create his shot. He can get so hot that sizzling doesn't even describe him. His handles are great and he doesn't mind letting others score. In the pick-n-roll, he's solid. He's also improving his defense.

With three players that are willing to make the effort on both ends of the court and can score serious points; it's easy for any other player to fit in and do well in Denver.

As for salary cap issues, if they can be a threat to win the championship every year for the next 5+ years (possible if they are all kept together), our ownership has the financial where-with-all to pay tax penalties (and bragging rights in their social circle just might be enough to pry open the bank vault).
