Zeke is still not ready, but he will get some minutes I expect. Millsap seems to be gone, so some vet presence was definitely needed.

Not sure that's much more than you channeling your inner Malone, but I think he could end up with decent mins this year. I was honestly disappointed with the expectations I had with Green this last year albeit I was expecting a facsimile of Grant which he didn't come close to IMO.

I mean Zeke is on summer league team roster, without Green the oldest/most experienced PF on the team would be Gordon, then MPJ - it's good to be young, but that's way too young. Green can also play small ball C if needed, which again nobody else on the roster can do unless they get a real backup C.

Don't think the Nuggets have ever seen a Players Option they didn't like, guess they like being slaves to the market/players whims

I like Jeff Green, rugged kinda guy, enforcer type ala Millsap but I wanted to see more G talent on this team, Rivers is leaving me lacking. Barton can start but still seems like we're floundering in the backcourt.

Was thinking we needed more talent at G so we go ahead and sign another backup PF...makes sense

With the Rivers signing it looks like the roster is pretty much set unless we make a surprise trade. A little underwhelming of an offseason, but I wasn't expecting too many big moves. Our success this year really relies heavily on Jamal's return. While either Green could play small-ball center, I wouldn't be too shocked to see Nnaji find a roll in that spot.

Jeff Green's stats from last year kind of surprised me. If he can come close to repeating that, we got a solid player at a good price.

I am more concerned that we dont have any news on either Murray or PJ.. Will PJ be ready to start the season? Can we expect Murray to be back bit before POs?

I dont min what we have, especially when Murray is back. We werent able to do much more really, so adding Jeff Green is great. Unless we make some trade, or move on from Howard/Bol I dont think we have much to work with to get better

Murray, Morria, Facu, Howard
Barton, PJ, Bones, Rivers
MPJ, Green
AG,Green
Jokic, Nnaji, Bol

Is 15 players we go with, and I am ok with that

There was news that Murray is doing great in rehab in the interview with Tim Connelly, however it would be silly to set the date when he will be ready considering that's months away and it's an injury where you can't speed things up, he will be ready when he's ready.

But knowing if his rehab is going as expected, pr better than that, or worse, would be nice right

This is the latest TC said:

Nuggets President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly provided an update on Murray just the other night:

“He’s doing great. He’s been attacking rehab like we thought he would. He’s such a tough minded guy, he’s chomping at the bit. We’ve got to slow him down so he knows no rushing this injury, but he’s doing fantastic. Really proud of how aggressively he’s attacked rehab thus far.”

I hope we can bring him back slowly after All star game, as minor injuries could also happen, but hopefully won't

Nuggets have always kept injuries close to the vest. Yes, it drives us all crazy but they feel it's in their best interest.

tbh, i'm more concerned that we dont have any info on PJ, who was possible to come back in PO's, and now we don't know if he will be ready to start the season...

Same thing happened with Barton last year, pathetic PR for the fans IMO.

and thats why I'm concerned, signing Rivers back just adds to it

Rivers, not as concerned about, he’s just on a 1-yr deal and can add to the bench. Think there were a few other players I would’ve looked at but he has the capability to get hot sometimes

I just hope it's not because PJ will not be ready, because, if PJ is ready to go, and Barton is too, why not give Bones some minutes as 3rd SG?

He will probably get some minutes, but if either Barton or PJ miss some time during the season (which at this point is not exactly hard to imagine), having Rivers is a good insurance.
