The Sixers playing in Denver without Embiid but they lead right now early in the 2nd quarter 35-25 because apart from Jokic and Barton (9-11 currently) rest of the team shooting just 1-12.

Five minutes later: 35-48 Sixers lead, Jokic 22, Barton 10, the rest of the team just 3 points (1-16)!?

Bizarre 1st half with MVP Jokic scoring more points than the rest of the team (27 out of 52) while in these rest of the team points Barton participate with 60% (15 out of 25)!? The defense is bad in the 2nd quarter so Philly leads 58-52.

Sixers without Embiid (and Simmons) are not a playoff team, this is a must-win home game for the Nuggets.

Bench SUCKS again, getting to be an old story. TC needs to make a move soon

This has to be one of the worst bench performances by any team this year. 3 points through 3 quarters...

Even Bones having a crappy night, seasoning needed there. And Jeff Green as a starting PF ?? I think not right now

Jokic lost momentum in the 2nd half (27-6-5 in 1st just 3-4-1 in 2nd). Unlike other NBA superstars who would be high after 27p on halftime no matter what is going with the rest of the team, Joker is more focused on helping teammates if they struggling. That is the wrong attitude, he should enjoy the moment and try to make a 50p game (why not, after 27p in 1st and the fact that Embiid is not playing) which would more probably motivate teammates to show up too, than being less involved in the game in the hope that rest of the team will start playing better.

These are the games that are gonna kill Jokic's 2nd MVP season, we should've easily won this one. No Embiid, no Simmons.....jeez louise !!

Am I the only one missing JaVale McGee? Sure, he is unplayable with Jokic, but he is good at PnR and with Bones or even Campazzo he could have provided some points for the bench.

So far the comparison Jeff Green vs McGee is embarrassing (and McGee has only one year contract). Even Hartenstein looks pretty decent

How can you miss what you rarely got to see, Malone didn't play him a lot, preferring small-ball. I agree we need a true backup Center.

Nah, imo that's not it. Last game Jokic+Barton scored almost half of the total points and were 7-10 for 3 and 17/31 FGs, while the rest of the team was 5-26 for 3 and 15-58 FGs, that's just god awful. And you can't trade 2/3 of the team.

Hopefully they all can survive until MPJ and Jamal are back or without them can't hope for much. Ofc, maybe the bench finally rounds into form in the second part of the season, but I'm not holding my breath.
