Another poor start for both Morris and Barton shooting-wise, are both trying to show their (lack of) worth to keep around ??

I really dislike most of the players on this roster.

Absolutely **** terrible basketball players.

I think you try to keep the core 4 and Bones but everyone **** else can leave.

A disgraceful loss. A complete choke job. To go 7-33 from 3 in an important game at home is just unacceptable.

The Nuggets have surrendered 100+ points in 19 straight games. This defense is broken.

Denver was something like 0-10 this season every time when we need a win to take TOP5 seed spot :banghead:

The defense is NOT broken, most teams in the NBA are scoring over 100pts per game. Overreaction here.

I am disgusted by two of our posters. I hope your heads cool down and you realize what you wrote.

Calling out Monte? Wtf? The guy is 48/40/87 with 4.4as/to. He said he is not comfortable being starter but when realized Facu can't be that guy Monte took the responsibility. Now he had couple of bad games and you'd throw him out of the team? Yeah go find me a guy like this for 9 mil/year.

Will... Some might think I am his big fan or something. Not really. Yes I hate him missing wide open lay ups. Yeah he makes me mad cause he is no willing to dive for loose ball. But before this game, out of the last 6 games he had 5 very good ones. He is third in points, in minutes, he DID his work for this team. And he is our all-time leader in three pointers. And in this times his 15mils/y contract is very friendly. If we can upgrade on his position, great. But till then please give him SOME respect.

Meanwhile the guys who escape all the blame

Bones. I like him. But he is like happy puppy on the court. He is fun to watch, cute, give you joy, great interviews. He also can't distribute the ball AT ALL. He makes some flashy passes, long threes, all fun. But basic simple basketball entry pass? To be clear, not blaming him for anything, he's rookie, he's learning. Just don't agree with fire everyone, keep Bones.

DMC. Same as Bones, like him, I am glad he's with our team. When he is good he is VERY good. He is also able to show with 6TO and/or 5fouls in 12 minutes. He screwed us maybe as many times as he helped us big time. I threw his name just to show he is the guy I haven't seen called out ever in our forums.

Jamal. Some of you are blaming the players who sweat their shirts, fight for the team every gane. And here is the player who is the "keeper." A guy who is shown shooting, running, dunking, just not dressing up for the game... Guy who was used to coast during RS only showing for PO. Since what, February, March we were hearing he might be ready to go. So far he isn't. I don't mind. If he's not ready then not force it. But why are you calling out guys who might be tired, might have some issues but go out every night?

The last one is MPJ. Our "saviour." Same as JM. All the videos of him running, jumping, dunking... AND also the guy crippling our salary cap if his health gonna be what other teams physicians thought it will be. One of the worst defensive players I've seen. But again. He is blame-free.

To be clear. This rant wasn't meant to blame this guys instead of those guys. I think almost all of us were spoiled by this season. When Jamal and Porter went down I don't think any of us thought different then the season is lost and we're tanking. Yet this team is (probably not succesfully) fighting for home court advantage. Sure, the biggest reason is Jokic and his incredible season. But he is not alone on the court. So it pisses me off if you say you'd kick out players who are the big reason this team is still rock solid. They deserve MUCH better from you.

Defense!? What defense?

That strange word sounds so outdated when we talking about Nuggets in 2022. I have a theory that in the middle of November, a few days after MPJ's injury team board lose trust in the team medical staff and called for no intense defense until the playoff. The other theory is that Malone didn't care about defense anymore once MPJ is out.

Yeah, it sounds bizarre but how else you can explain these bizarre stats:

Until November 15: in 10 out of 13 opening games (76.9%) Nuggets opponents scored under 100 points!
After January 16: in just 1 out of the last 39 games (2.6%) Nuggets opponents scored under 100 points!

Well, MAF, since I am OBVIOUSLY one of the posters you are disgusted by (I could really care less about your opinions, but opinions are like ****, everyon has one) did you catch the 1st half of this game ? Barton and Morris shot like 1-15, Barton play ZERO defense on Devin V and seemed disinterested in the game, not the 1st game both took off the 1st half. Yes, we really don't have a better option than him right now, but for someone who openly bitches about the thought of him coming off the bench and giving continued lackluster performances like that while being paid $15MM per season...that guy needs to be benched. And is anyone besides me expecting him to get hurt again right before the playoffs for the (possible) 3rd season in a row ?? Wouldn't surprise me at all.

And Maf, I have no problem with you disagreeing about my posts, we can easily debate. However, at least have the balls to call me out by name.

I thought I described it enough so both of you knew who I meant. But ok, yeah it was aimed to you Sky and Eathb_au.

I have no problem with having different opinions neither. I will also have no problem writing "you were right" if Will quits in PO this year.

I don't want to make this only about Will again. Despite bad game he has very decent season. I wrote I am open to idea of upgrading at his position. I meant in off-season. Right now benching him for who? Austin? Davon? Bryn? This would make us better? Don't think so. And now I see you said the same.

Also I think it's insane to question if we need/want Monte on this team. He is the best pure PG back up in the league to me.

Mainly. I get someone gets upset with bad team/players performance. Happens to me, too. Reality is this team overachieved as hell. So I was offended by disrespecting them. That's all.

See Maf, we're not that far off on our opinions, I agree Barton is our best option RIGHT NOW. I'm just disgusted when I see him taking the half/nite off and then keep with the "I MUST be a starter" attitude.

As for Monte, he too is a backup IMO. But with Bones looking to eventually take over the backup PG position, his place on this team is limited and those poor performances don't help his team (or trade value).

Due to that MPJ contract if miracle won't happen (means he is fully healthy and playing great. Have "some concerns" about it) we are in terrible cap situation. Over 150 mil for 9 players without having backup C (Zeke seems MUCH bigger since being drafted but I don't see him as an option for this position) or having traditional backup SG. Even worse if JaMychel picks up his 8 mil option.

Still can't see us the prefered destination for old ring chasers. Even Jeff grandpa Green wanted 9/2, not settled for vet min.

Unless Connelly has some incredible trick hidden in his sleeve I don't think there is any other option than out of the three (Bones, Jamal, Monte) two of them HAVE to be on the court at the same time. It is the only chance to get Will on bench.

And I don't know about Will's attitude. It's my feeling he in not such a diva. During the Lakers game (I think it was this game, just know I didn't watch it with our TV crew) they said how huge is Will in helping out Bones and working with him closely. To me he seems to be well liked by staff, by coaches, by teammates... But if I am correct I believe you are from Denver (or somewhere in area) so you have all the local news and gossips I don't have time to follow on internet.

Perhaps you are ahead of your time, I recently heard a broadcaster propose a future backcourt of Bones and Murray. A lot of dynamic scoring there but both are only 6'3" tall. Seems like the old Dame/CJ style, which worked short-term but in the end had to be split up.

As for TC and his magic act, have to wait to see what he does but we do have a 1st round pick I'd like to see used on a bigger SG this year.

I am not sure how or if it even would hurt us playing two PG. I am no expert on Blazers but I think they had two major problems. First was defense. Jamal is strong and well builded to be pushed around. And you (and me too a little) say Will often doesn't try enough. So if there is more effort it could be more important than two inches. Even bigger problem for Blazers was that Dame and CJ were their first and second option on offense. (And third and fourth really before anyone else sniffed the ball) On Nuggets? With MPJ in line up Bones and Jamal would be anywhere between second and fourth option. Even fifth in games AG goes aggresive.

Of course this pairing could collapse. Just saying so far I don't see better option. Drafting big SG? Ok, whoever Tim and his guys pick I believe he's gonna be good. And I mean GOOOOD. Their draft record makes me pretty calm. The thing is, we KNOW even the rook is great it will take a lot of time till coach Malone gives him minutes.
