Game 2, Round 2 : Denver Nuggets #4 @ Oklahoma City Thunder #1 (1-0)
The break is already done, so whatever happens in game 2 (except someone from the 5+1 lineup being injured) should not worry us. But that said, just a reminder that NBA teams win the PO series in almost 85% of cases after a 2-0 lead, so this game is some kind of hidden match point!

21-45 1st quarter. Seems that the tired Nuggets decided to take a day off today. No other explanation.

Give credit to Okc, they came to play, made their shots, out-hustled, out-muscled and just embarrassed the Nuggets.....but WE still stole HCA, let's use it.

This was an interesting one. My takeaways:
-We let OKC dictate the physicality, and it often led to the refs calling the 2nd fouls on us being reactionary but letting OKC get away with the 1st foul on our guys, especially Jokic
-Grant Hill is a very biased commentator, almost like he has something against Jokic
-James Williams and The Extended are not the reasons we lost the game, but it sure didn't help
I expect our guys to respond strongly. I do want to see Jokic catching the ball more up high by the 3pt line and initiating from there, similar to the LAC series. Getting him the ball down in the block allows the OKC defense to converge on him and it really isn't working.

Nothing new there -- but he's not the only commentator that shows a bias against Denver and/or Jokic.OmniDEN wrote:-Grant Hill is a very biased commentator, almost like he has something against Jokic
Scott Foster has always seemed prejudiced -- against the Nuggets, but other teams too. However this game had nothing to do with the officiating -- at least not significantly IMO. As you said, "It sure didn't help."OmniDEN wrote:-James Williams and The Extended are not the reasons we lost the game, but it sure didn't help
Jokic at the high post with a two-man sequence with Murray. IMO the best offense in the NBA today.OmniDEN wrote:I expect our guys to respond strongly.
