The difference between the best case and the worst case scenarios of this blockbuster trade is so ridiculously big that we'd better just stay positive and welcome a new (and already very important) member of the Nuggets' golden generation, and wish him good health!
REMINDER: When Denver previously traded for an elite forward defender, team-oriented, and good at open 3pt, who is in his peak years (Aaron Gordon), it turned into a big success because AG not only fulfilled all expectations but also improved playing with Jokic, who is a perfect match for such players.

This is a big move because it replaces MPJ at a bargain salary. Good player who should thrive with Jokic.

Wonder if Cam will be able. to take his. game to the next level, something MPJ only showed glimpses of.

A more consistent MPJ, that can put the ball on the floor, and has a better bball IQ.

This deal surprised me. I liked Porter -- although felt he could have been a great help for our bench. Anyway, I did not believe he was tradeable -- not just because of salary and his bad-back reputation. I just didn't believe we could get any player that stood a chance of replacing him.
Wow, was I wrong. Johnson might actually fit better than Porter in our starting lineup. Although stats look good; I think Johnson's style of play might be better for our lineup.
Add to that, the front office managed to get some cap relief too? Amazing.

It was time. MPJ was Denvers Klay Thompson. You can dvelve in memories only so much if you want to compete. He wasnt turning it around and neither is Murray, the next guy who needs to get off the payroll.
Amazing to see things move finally in Denver. Excited for the new season, when i was about to cancel my league pass.
