Hey guys,

i worked on the graphics for the game a couple minutes ago and it was like... dont know how to describe.

this isn't a bad/stupid team. they give it all every time they are on the court. sometimes they play very much over their potential because they're a team with VEEEERY much heart. they are a team that a fan has to love because they are fighters. same as the pistons. very hard workers... i loved/still love the team. but. that time is over. the nuggets are my team and as much as it hurts (especially as an ex-sixer) i have to say that we have to win this one for A.I.

he deserves it. he deserves it for the uncountable minutes he stayed on the field for philly. he deserves it for every injury he suffered with his aggressive play. he deserves the win for every year billy king didn't put a good team around A.I. to let him win it all. he deserves it for the way the sixer fans still love A.I.! He deserves it if the nuggets are a team and fight for a man's revenge.

A.I. really deserves this one, so please nuggets. do everything you can to make this man a proud guy. proud about his decision to change the sides. to change the organisation. change his teammates.

this game will be more emotional to me than the spurs game...

Our Keys to win this one are the following:
Dalembert has bad nights and good nights. His potential is greater than his ability to play the game. sometimes he reaches this potential. camby or martin or nene MUST shut this guy down. there are nights he plays like an all-star. those nights aren't as rare as many of you might think. this guy is extremely athletic. he's called slammin' sammy so there shouldn't be any questions about what he does offensively (after grabbing an offensive rebound or catching an reverse alley-oop-pass). But there are nights he tries to be an shooting center too (and yes he has a good shot for a center).
Iguodala is an alround-stat athletic freak with an IN-YOUR-FACE-DUNK waiting to happen every possesion. He's a solid defender (he'll guard Melo - i'm 100% sure about it). His shot isn't falling constantly so better let him shot than let him drive.

BOTH are good defenders (sammy's nearly the same type of shot blocker that camby is). if we want to make a good run or rally past the sixers, keep those two players out of the game so that they won't find their groove. if we can keep both of them out of the game you'll see that andre miller won't be able to build any offense out of the rest of the team. because iggy and daly are the teams heart. if they fall, the team will follow. if they get hot, the team will follow.

LET's make it happen! 21-12

EDIT!: ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS:
Image
BUT! Don't undererstimate Sammy saying he "only" averages 11,9 and 2! Take a look at his 53.8 FG%. This is an indication for his nickname 'Slammin Sammy'.
You can see what he is capable of if you look at the whole last month where the sixers had a better record ;) Dalembert had 10.6,10.8 and 3.4 in December (16 Games).
Another thing is not to foul him. He can shot. he'll make the free-throws.

Iguodala is very versatile. he can grab 10 rebounds one night and dish out 10 assists the other night. he's very similar to what kind of player Scottie Pippen was. Remember my sentence. make those two fall and the whole team will fall. Even with andre runnin the point!

The big epic hype-matchup will be the one in Philly. Not Denver.

This could be one where the focus is going to be needed the most. Andre Miller can probably bring it to lax Nuggets....but also if there is wasted energy in this one the Suns on Monday will be tougher.

We don't want no lax Nuggets.

I think Rodney Carney is going to be starting this game instead of Willie Green. If you get a chance, you should move Iguodala to the 2 and Carney to the 3. I'm almost 100% Iguodala will be guarding Iverson as well. Good luck guys and hopefully there are no injuries. This should be an exciting game.

It would make sense to try and force AI on Dre and Carter on Iggy, but the Sixers dont have a 3 to make it a wise decision.

If we have carter on dre, and melo on iggy i think we should be fine.

so what do you call an rivalry. only the spurs (for the first-round playoff matchups) or the NY-Knicks because they had a brawl with the nuggets?

if you don't call an superstar facing his old team an rivalry then i don't know what else to call an rivalry matchup.

maybe you are dissapointed because it's the first time "rivalry matchup" is on the top of the graphics but i had the idea yesterday and not at the beginning of the season. i'll put it on the upcoming spurs matchups too.

if you want to make a productive post on this board about this topic then better say what YOU think are our rivarly matchups. in my eyes it's

-A.I. facing his former team
-Melo facing LeBron
-Nuggets vs SPurs
-Knicks vs Nuggets
-and now the boston game because they bashed the nuggets so badly that every player said after the victory that they are hot to take revenge!

everybody else is invited to post his oppinion of our rivalry matchups too.
