Will the Nuggets make a move before the trade deadline???

Denver usually makes a mid-season move every year. Some of the guys we have traded for are gone (Patterson, Evans, Blake) and only 2 (AI and Najera) make a serious contribution to this team.
Will we make a move this year? History says yes but with half our team spending more time at the hospital than the pepsi center I just don't see us having any assets that make a significant trade possible. Moving Camby is F'in stupid and guys like JR and Kleiza don't have high enough salary's to get anyone significant back.
With that being said i'm gonna make a little wish list, feel free to add/subtract to it.
Sam Cassell ( old and ugly but he'd help)
Jose Calderon (toronto would be a fool to move him)
Andre Miller (can't send enough salary to take his back)
I hate saying this but the answer may be letting JR play since Nene and Atkins can't.

I think it would just be plain ignorant not to pick up at least one big man, (with an outside shot, maybe?) - that is "game-ready" according to Karl. I don't care who he is as long as he helps eat minutes and not turn over the ball and doesn't clutter up the offense too much.
Look, we have Wafer and Hunter.....without JR on the far side of the bench, there is no bench.
JR got minutes in the last game and the starters still played 40 minutes each.
At this point I think we have enough small talent to ignore small guys and just pack the paint with big bodies to help Camby out.
Look at the Spurs' bench or even the Pistons....they have at least 2 reserve big men if not more that can come into a game at any given time and give the starters rest if not even keep the defense solid.

It seems Ricky Davis is on the block.
Put him on the 2 with AI and Melo looks good to me.

Davis...are you kidding me?
Somehow trade Atkins for Cassell, he wants to come here anyways. And he'd probably be a better coach than Karl. Win-win.

Bigs bigs bigs.... R&D is on the East's worst team and he was the upgrade from last year for the Heat.
Need some bigs.

I think there's a possibility that we might make a trade, but with what little we have to offer now,i doubt we'll get anyone who can contribute to this team.

I know theres not that bad of history with Ricky Davis, I still think hes a team cancer, and AI at the point for 20-30 minutes a night?? no thanks. Im fine with AC right now, I just hope JR gets this consistant playing time, hes been playing great lately.

I'd like to hope some sort of move will happen, but we really don't have many tradable pieces that can get us anything of value.
Nene and Kenyon aren't going anywhere, JR's contract is too small to bring back anythone that could make a difference (same could be said about AC), and I don't think anyone has any interest in Hunter or Atkins.
That leaves Camby, Kleiza, and Najera. I would think that package would be more than enough to bring in someone that could help right now, but we can't really afford to trade any of them, other than maybe Kleiza.
With all that said, I would be all for some sort of Iverson trade if it can bring back the right pieces.

I want them to play with the same team for a year or more.
I especially don't want them to trade any of the bigs away, considering it'd be difficult to get any kind of equal value at the 4/5 spot for the way Camby, Kleiza and to a lesser extent Najera are playing.

I like this team...the pieces are alright. Performance matters though.
We've got a lot of similar body types in the lineup - in that 6'5 to 6'9 range and they all have their specialties....but we could probably get by quite well with Melo and JR and maybe a Najera for that body type.
Camby is great defensively for what he does, but then it would be nice just to have some size to help get his back so cutters aren't just swinging around the pole to lay it in.
It's gotten to the point where they're going to have to make a move by the end of the season if this crew fails to make progress. They're holding it down but have weaknesses that can easily be exploited by this year's Western Conference - and size becomes a problem if there is foul trouble.
There isn't a lot of value in bigs. We can say trade away Kenyon or Nene and get exactly the pieces we need, but we won't get the same value coming back. However, we would have bigs with maybe smaller contracts but that fit specific roles.
Now, if Kenyon can have some monster games, that changes the whole equation as it stands right now. If Kleiza can do it, Kenyon can.

Kenyon can't stay healthy long enough to have any trade value....Whatever happened to that Keith Van horn talk that used to swirl around, he'd be a good pickup.

I doubt he'll get picked up, he hasn't played in a while, but a trade for a 3 point shooter off the bench, like an 8th man could happen...Kenyon won't be involved

Knowing our front office we will try to bring Boykins back for some muscle under the bucket. Boykins can bench press 300 lbs. and he would allow us to go even smaller against other teams.

Any chance of an attempt on Gasol?

Gasol is a pretty good idea, it will have to involve Kleiza and could be even Camby thrown in there, but we can be West's Big 3 then

If we need a big that can shoot the outside shot, why not bring in the great Nikoloz Tskitishvili, this guy is 6'11" and tears up the summer league competition.

I've watched gasol a few times this season, including last night, and he still seems kind of soft to me. (warning, homeristic statement coming) I would not want to trade Camby for Gasol, not even straight up.
edit:
plus, Gasol has had his injury problems in the past as well.

Right now they need a player like Kurt Thomas with Nene being out. Someone strong in the post defensively and can knock down a 15 ft jumper.
maybe Najera and JR with a 2nd rounder to Seattle...don't know if they'd bite??? I would but it sounds like they really want more 1st round draft picks.
