Key Matchup:

v.
West just had a career night against Tim Duncan, hitting virtually every shot he took. We'll see how that carries into this game. Kenyon has to guard his jumper close.
Last Meeting: December 12th, 2007
105-99 Denver victory
Carmelo scored 32 but took 28 shots to get it.
Camby put up 14/15
Paul tallied 30 points and 12 assists
Stojakovic & Peterson missed the game with injuries, as did Atkins & Nene.
Denver: 26-17
Please god, stay healthy everyone.
Rank 14th in offense and 5th in defense.
Carmelo Anthony is probable with a left ankle sprain.
Nene had a benign testicular tumor removed on January 14th. Should return 8-10 weeks from that date.
Chucky Atkins is out 2 months with a sports hernia.
Keys to winning:
Play with energy and passion.
Move the ball from strong side to weak side consistently & quickly.
Limit turnovers.

Even if Melo plays, I doubt if he will be able to play at full capacity just yet.
This team sucks on the road with a healthy Melo, and it is going up against one of the best teams in the league. We are currently in first place and have the 4th seed, but after this week and the start of next week that will probably change, and we will be on the outside looking in.
Next Monday we are at Portland, and then on Wed. we are home against the Jizz.
It is time for this nuggets team to put up or shut up.

anyway, I hope the guy is okay.
I hope that Melo comes back at least around 80-90% or the Nuggets are going to have a lot of trouble with this one. it being in New Orleans, the Nuggets are going to have to play darn near flawless basketball with or without Melo to steal this one.

I really think we win this one with melo back. He spreads the floor better for Iversons drives which makes for alot of open kick outs to Kleiza. I really cant see us losing this I just cant.

i really want us to win this one. i start to get frustrated if we lose this. i want us to be one of those 65+% teams!
the dallas game was winnable we just didn't play defense on dirk when it counted. a good 3 pt shooter left open 2 times in crunch time? very poor job on these two possesions...

Last night.....no idea. Camby had been hitting baseline shots and doesn't go with it anymore...he drives, which is great.....but doesn't he need to practice on finishing drives? Some of those any other 6'8 or taller player could have made.
Kenyon settled a little too much for jumpers...this is the dude that needs to go to the rack 99.9% of the time.
And then a few no-brainer bad passes and that turns what could have been a nice win on the road to excuses excuses.
No doubt Hornets is a statement game.

We need to get CP3 into the foul trouble early, like we did last game. Keys to winning should be - play defense

we did that last game against mavs and lost. Key to winning is to play defense and offense

And if the offensive starts working again to not suddenly decide defense doesn't matter.

Big game tonight, need to come away with the W.
Utah is playing better lately, and them and Portland are only a half game back.
