Thought this would be a good topic for today. Seems appropriate. I for one am getting antsy for something to happen!

Denver Nuggets: Denver is one of the most active shoppers headed into the deadline. The primary need is at the point and Andre Miller would be ideal. The issue there is that the Nuggets have budget limitations that would require them to trade away Nene for expiring contracts to accommodate additional salary. With Nene's unfortunate health concerns, as one would imagine the market is bare on that front, taking the Nuggets out of the Andre Miller chase barring a significant change from ownership. One team that would consider taking Nene is the New York Knicks in a massive Zach Randolph deal but that appears unlikely.
The primary target in turn is Kyle Lowry with Delonte West as fallback. Lowry is more of a true point and is cheaper (further away from free agency) and could be the guy Denver lands. There has been extensive talk with Sacramento for Ron Artest though at this point it appears the Nuggets won't give up Linas Kleiza in that deal.
Finally, the Nuggets covet Mike Miller but again the budget may get in the way (although Denver should not be counted out).
In addition to Kleiza and Nene - Denver is offering up Eduardo Najera, Von Wafer, JR Smith and their 2008 first round pick in various combinations. Coach George Karl loves Najera but if the team can dramatically improve with a deal - he may be a casualty.

On Miller
Three teams seeking Miller
The player drawing the most attention from promising title contenders is Philly's Andre Miller. The Nuggets, Cavaliers and Rockets are sincere suitors

prosports:
"The league's trade deadline is Thursday afternoon, and Miller and Lowry figure prominently in speculation suggesting that the Griz could move them as a combo. Denver and the Los Angeles Clippers, who the Griz face tonight in the Staples Center, are the teams reportedly making a serious push for Miller and Lowry's services."
"Meanwhile, the Nets will continue to wheel until Thursday's 3 p.m. deadline. Sources throughout the league say Kiki Vandeweghe is generating a heated rush of discussions involving Jermaine O'Neal, Jamaal Tinsley, Mike Miller and Nene... With Kidd apparently spoken for, the player drawing the most attention from promising title contenders is Philly's Andre Miller. Nuggets, Cavaliers and Rockets are sincere suitors - Celtics feel they're first in line for Sam Cassell - but not serious enough to offer more than expiring contracts and a first-round pick in the 20s."

Just seen it on Knicks realgm, and while checking other boards I seen this on the Celtics realgm board. The guy who made the topic on the Celtics board is supposedly a Spurs insider.

Elson, Barry, and a couple first round picks for Artest? Makes no sense for the Kings. Elson and Barry are expiring, so they get nothing back except a couple really late picks. JR Smith and a pick is better than 2 picks in the mid 20s.

Let them have him, I still have no idea how Artest fits on this team, other then being another name that the team can sell for the fans.

i don't care. i want Mike Miller and David West! the only thing that's bad about it is that the spurs are the one who seem to get him. makes it only tougher to beat them.
