I've been saying all along that Jr should be starting he simply played out of this world tonight. If he started i bet he could do this on a consistent basis.

Smith is good off the bench imo, but a replacement for Carter is necessary for sure...

Karl will never do it...just wait till chucky is back, so Karl can go to his AC, Chucky, AI lineup...

I do not mind starting JR, but long-term I would rather go after a real PG and have JR as our 7th man.

Ha ha. AI, JR, Melo, K-Mart, Camby was what I wanted to see before the AI trade.

Now it's JR, AI, Melo, K-Mart, Camby.

Well, not quite yet, but we're getting there.

Gk really is an a-hole.It is time someone took and buried his ass deep in the Rocky Mounatins. If it wasnt for JR this team would have lost by 30+.

CAN I KNOW WTF KARL SAID

Karl said he's glad JR had a big game, but he was living in "fantasyland" with his shot selection

Gk is living in a fantasyland if he thinks that A.Carter is the answer at pg and will help this team get into the playoffs.

take a shot at the only reason we were even close to being in this one....never mind that the entire team other then AI and JR didn't even show up....Melo looked like Kleiza out there....lost, and clumsy, Camby couldn't box out anybody, K-mart and AC might as well have not even suited up for this one.....Steven A Smith just called out Karl, said some really funny stuff.

I'm not the biggest Karl fan but, I hate to say it but he is right. JR's shot selection was absolutely atrocious. Obviously the only difference is the fact he was making them. I have no problem with feeding the "hot man" but, once the Bulls start switching on JR, he never looked to make a pass and there were players open.

If JR misses those shots, we would have a Waive JR thread going. Im not knocking him because he singlehandedly brought us back. But Im not comfortable with living with "JR or Bust" tactic. Great game by him but, lets be real, those shots were horrible shots.

I don't understand why they can't just feel it out and change gears when it doesn't go down. If JR makes shots over his shoulder, feed him a couple more, and if he goes cold feed someone else. JR himself has to realize maybe that last shot was crazy and to try something more involving.

When they start doing the same anything over and over again, obviously it becomes easy for the defense to read them.

Why does it always have to be include one player, exclude all others? Or, include all but one player. They have to incorporate the strengths of every player. Every player has to incorporate the rest of the team.

If the best offensive player finds himself blocked at the rim, he has to dish off to the first set of hands near the rim that can get the ball in the hoop. If the hottest shooter finds himself cooling down or in a bad spot, other players have to move without the ball and come to him.

This applies to Melo and JR and AI. Iso is fine except when every man is an island and they keep throwing the ball into the water.

Do you think JR takes those shots if he isn't hitting them? No doubt the shots he was taking were ugly, but if you're a streaky shooter like JR, down 15 points when you make 1, you deserve another. You make 3-4 in a row, then fire away.

Karl loves calling out JR, why not call out the team too. These guys thought they could just show up and win the game. How about something to light a fire until their asses.

To answer the first question "Do you think JR takes those shots if he isn't hitting them"?. Yes. History has shown before JR has and will always be prone to taking bad shots. The only difference tonight is he is hitting them versus him being yanked by GK after 2 horrific shots in the row.

And Im not absolving George Karl or the team for their role in the loss as well. Someone on the court should have told JR to take the shot if you have it but, if you don't, pass. But instead they let him have his highlight reel. It was entertaining and it brought the Nuggets back but, everyone was so caught in watching JR, they forgot to get back on defense.

Meloivynene posts explains it well. As entertaining as the game was, it turned out to be a 1 on 1, then 1 on 2 when the Bulls started switching and doubling Smith. Its no way you can say playing 1 on 2 or a 3pt shot fading out of bounds is a good shot even for a player who is hot.

Horrible shot selection but, great game by JR. But Karl is right in saying its pure fantasy to think his shot selection was good. The only thing you can wish is maybe Karl should have kept it private instead of taking it to the media. But that doesn't make JR's shot selection any better.

My problem is that everyone on this team sometimes have bad shot selection but the only one he calls it is JR.If that was one of his two character guys he wouldnt have said a damn thing about it.
