Offensively u guys can tear anyone apart, but for amount of good defensive players you got, you should be better then 6th in the league. give jeff kenyon martyn(terrefic interior defender), camby(great shotblocker), najaera, AI, diawara and he will mold a defensive giant.
Trust me, even melo will improve.yes even melo!... he'll make you're team play team ball. the players will make that extra pass. i think denver is lacking that right now. talents there, team work however is another question.

Man, you make more sense than alot of Nuggets fans do. Most Nuggets fans would rather trade AI, so Melo can shoot 30 time a game and everything will be fine.

Damn, I'd love to have Jeff instead of Karl. Or Cooper. Hell, just put a big beach ball in Karl's seat with a sign taped on it that says "Nuggets' Head Coach."

AI is not the problem. the problem are the role players like Jr Smith who destroys any ball movement on you're team. just no chemistry.if denver gets a coach who can instill a bit of bulldog mentality and cohesive team work into them, look out. the tools are there for a very good defensive outfit, just needs someone like gundy to mold them into it.
AI has terrefic hands on defense. but the problem is denver dosent play any team defense. martyn, camby are great individual defenders(martyn in particular) but they need to learn how to play help and team defense.

I'm impressed. Pretty understanding after AI had the worst night of his life. His body language and drive was just not there tonight. Very odd.

It was a cmbination of the rockets defense(best defense in the league) and poor chemistry on the nuggets. that team(nuggets) are just looking aloof to eachother. AI just had a bad night. the game before against the sonics he was huge. so i think this game probaly was a bad game even great players like him can have. there not robots, there humanbeings.

apparently not.

i'm not sure who you're referring to, because camby is a terrible individual defender, and martin is a fantastic help/team defender.
and i love how its not the stars that stop ball movement (despite iverson shooting 7/22 and having as many turnovers as assists, and melo playing like a selfish bastard for much of every game)...its jr smith.

Big, shut up with that. Carmelo getting more shots has nothing to do with it. You fail to realise that. The problem with A.I. is he turned the whole team selfish. No one likes to pass the ball because they never know if they'll get the ball back. He's a ballhog and only look to pass when the defense collapse.

How do one person turn a team selfish? It is a team game and everyone must show ball movement.....Why wasnt you complaining when AI saved us the other night against the Clippers? I may complain to but you talking non sense. It is not about AI or Melo we can score. Run and Gun get you know where against great defensive teams like the Rockets or Spurs. We need a big guard in the back court that can handle the ball and defend. We need another loss post player although I think Melo should be in the post more because he commands alot of doubles but need an offense of scheme which falls on the coach not running any plays. Which leads me to the fact while Karl must go.
He never was a defensive coach and never ran plays did you see him coach the bucks? They was run and gun and it did not get them to the finals because they ran into a great defensive 76ers team that slowed the pace. Back to Melo in the post since he draws doubles it would help if players cut to the basket instead of waiting for a three point jump shot. AI also draws attention it would help when he draws the extra defender for the players to **** just simply cut. I think AI and Melo both need help from there supporting cast. Look at the Lakers it is not all about Kobe, Gasol hell no they got great role players who play to there strength that is why they are the best team right now.

How do one player turn a team selfish? Here you go...
Your outside playing ball. Your 5 against another 5. You have one guy on your team who keeps shooting. He's not passing at all. He's just keep shooting even though he's not hot . Now you finally get the ball, are you going to shoot it or pass it back to the guy who kept shooting?
These Nuggets would take that shot. Can you be mad at them?
See the difference?

Last night that was the case, but no one else had it going either. I don't blame anyone except the coach for allowing it to happen and players not having a role to begin with.
So it's 5 on 5. Nobody knows what the **** their even doing out on the court, their purpose and roles, including AI. It's a free for all with no direction. If you have no directions, you will get lost.
Maybe with the exception of last night, I don't or haven't looked at it like AI is being a ballhog. I look at it as AI trying to do too much because it's a free for all anyway, with no one having a role or a purpose on the court.
Most of you all think it's AI ruining a good thing that was in place, but I see it as AI a part of it, rather than making it what it is. I also feel that way about Melo and the rest of the team. It's like everyone standing around and thinking to themselves, WTF are we suppsoe to be doing? That leads to the Stars (AI and Melo) trying to do too much and the Nuggets relying on Melo and AI or one of them to carry the team most nights.
