I have to work tomorrow night, but when I get off at 9, the replay will be showing so I will watch that. This should be an exciting game for Iverson and the city of Philadelphia. GO NUGGETS!

Warriors helped us out tonight, but they not going to keep helping us out. This game is a must win.
Carmelo "We can get all four of these. I know we can."
Better prove it and we better win this game for A.I. I have a feeling that he'll get booed.

For everything he has done for that city they'll boo him? He took them to the finals once, was an MVP and pretty much won the hearts of the people of Philadelphia. They'll cheer him. Good vid about it -

You forgot the comments A.I. made about them? I hope they cheer him, its the right thing to do, but Philly fans are known for not being loyal, so...

What comments? About how he loved his teammates and playing for the fans in Philly? Those comments?
Anyhow, if they boo Iverson after all he did for that town and franchise then the Philly fans will reach an all time low. I wouldn't put it past a few of the fans trying to boo, but as a whole, I think they will show respect. Because although he had some rough times there, he had more good then bad. The least they can do is show appreciation.

No, not those comments. Forget I said anything.

I hope they can win... but again... seeing Melo being so lazy on defense, seeing GK cannot give a ****... my passion for this team is almost gone.
I hope they win... knowing we won't get far with this streetball scheme.

In the Detroit game, he wasn't being "lazy" he juru over committed which is something I'm really sick of.However, he looked good in the 2nd half on d.

Despite reaching the Finals in 2001, the Iverson era was mainly defined by mediocrity. So it's hard to argue that Iverson was a blessing for Philadelphia since everything ended pretty ugly. I also expect that the fans will cheer him in the intro but during the game I am hopeful they support the home team.
That's gonna be a great game and a very crucial one for either team. The Sixers are in serious playoff contention, even challenging the 5th spot in the East. And they are now playing for an even record for the first time in the season.

shows how much you know this little guy's carreer

no way in the world he'll be booed by philadelphia fans. they'll cheer for him the whole night. he still has an unbelieveable big fan base over there... and the fans didn't had a chance to thank a.i. for all the great moments he gave to them so far

Which great moments do you actually talk about? Sure, the playoff ride in 2001 was unbelievable but otherwise, there has not been much to celebrate. Who really cares about all of his credentials if the team was solely mediocre. Who cares if he drops 50 points or so against the opponent. At the end of the day a winning record counts and unfortunately Iverson fell kinda short.
I also expect that many people will cheer him, deservedly so, but I assume many people might boo him.

oh come on! you just wanna blame a.i. for the seasons where they sucked? do you blame KG for failing to put some decent "memories" on the team? the front office has VERY much to do with it. it began with the change of the GM after the 2001 playoffs finals appereance and ended with larry brown leaving the team.
the sixers supported iverson with a burned out Glenn Robinson who didn't even play a whole season for the sixers before retireing, trading for Keith Van Horn (the most 'dominant' player on the world) and then giving him a Chris Webber on one leg. the only positive aspects on the team were iguodala, korver and dalembert. that's it. you can't build a championchip team around that.
and i think the others who followed iversons carreer know this (except of you) and won't boo him. i give you a hundret million bucks if they boo him but i guarantee you that they'll cheer for him the whole night!
BTW:
the nuggets next 6 games could translate in an 6 game winning streak i think. we face
Philadelphia
New Jersey
Toronto
Memphis
Dallas
Golden State
the mavericks had problems to stop us from scoring in the past and if we wanna make the playoffs the dallas (7th seed) and golden state (8th seed) games will be our most important games if we wanna make the playoffs.
BTW2:
i think the more important key matchup is camby against dalembert. dalembert CAN grab 20 boards if his relaxed soul is willed to. the way we sucked on rebounding against the pistons i'm scared we won't care about rebounds against the sixers too...

The front office has done for sure a bad job since they could not surround Iverson with the needed talent. However, Iverson's style of play hindered any transactions since you cannot put any players aside of Iverson.
Anyway, that has NOTHING to do to what I trief to refer to. I was just challenging your quote
...and the fans didn't had a chance to thank a.i. for all the great moments he gave to them so far
, which I did not agree with.
I was not questioning Iverson's talent or whatsoever.
Anyway, let us look forward to the game...
