GK's post game quotes

Post#1 » by SnakefromHell » Fri Mar 21, 2008 8:25 am

"Our perimeter hasn't helped the bigs rebound the ball as much as they need to," Karl said. "We have not focused in on good rebounding teams."

After 6er game.

:banghead:

SO, why has the perimeter NOT helped the bigs? Why have we NOT focused on good rebounding teams?

It's like an employee who's late going to work saying, "I have not been able to wake up earlier than usual. I have not been able to fix the car."

SO WHEN WILL YOU?

This has been happening for the last two years. EXCUSES!!!!

"Why, when we go on the road, do we lose the defensive focus?" said Karl, mystified as to why his Nuggets recently have played so well at home only to see their game end up in the lost-baggage department when they travel.

Shouldn't we be the ones asking you?

Getting AI......

Front Office: "Oh good, we don't need an NBA caliber PG now"....

Karl: "Great, we have so much talent now that I don't even have to give a **** and can spend more time worrying and following what Coby is doing."

Camby: "Oh sweet, I can show up when I want to now, especially on the road. AI will score enough points so I can gamble more for rebounds and blocks"...

Melo: "This mean I don't have to play defense now???"

Satisfied?

lol this is the most idiotic coach I've ever seen...

He thinks he's cool because he's no longer the Furious George and is not as angry anymore... but what he doesn't realize his fury actually enables him to coach. So essentially, George has lost his skills to coach because he decided to be a "better man" not necessarily a better coach.

How can your perimeter guys help rebound when you want to run all game? Karl is really grasping now...

Now that's a difficult one to split. They don't run all game, so....what are they doing?

The Nuggets flew back to Denver with a 3-2 record for the road trip, which Karl said was "good," not "great."

For once he said the right thing.

GK STRIKES AGAIN!!

"I'm not sure if we win both of these games if we still probably wouldn't have to beat Golden State anyway," he said. "We're going to have to beat somebody on the road, and now it's pretty imperative."

---

SO IS THIS AN EXCUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE TO WIN BOTH GAMES???!!!?? OMG PLEASE GET RID OF THIS GUYYYYYYYYYYYYY

We did it with Miller helping the bigs, unfortunately Neither AC nor AI is as good at getting rebounds as Miller was and Karl has not adjusted to that.

Guys! We're not gonna win this game. GK said it's not important we win the GSW game because we still can "probably" get in!!

Yes, as Denver coach George Karl threw out, "We can probably still get in if we don't win."

Good point. It would be way better for him to go to the media and proclaim, "if we lose this we might as well give up hope."

^But you can't take away their sense of urgency... that's the last thing you want to do to this team.

People talk about taking pressure off them... but they have not been playing with pressure all year... as a result? We gave up two games to Sonics and Kings... and all the easy games.

This team NEEDS pressure. They have to get used to it.
