I think I read somewhere a week or so ago that he has already earned his incentive bonuses. We all know how he can take some games off, does anyone else think he is playing soft now because he knows he is getting paid? I know this is probably far fetched, but it seems like since I read that story (I can't think where I saw it) that he has been playing soft.

he just looks tired. he played the best season of his whole career with the biggest amount of games. he needs a break.

He just had 4 days off. 5 if you count last night. If I am tired, I still have to go to work and produce of someone else gets my spot, why should things be any different for him? Play Hunter some minutes and make Camby be accountable for something.

I don't know.....11 assists is definitely production, even if you're tired.
Sometimes I think a game like last night's would be 130-106 without Camby there. But then again with a Nene or (let's say Dwight Howard, haha) it probably would have been 106-90.

yeah, but 9.4 rpg and 2.4 bpg (including his 14 rebounds last night too) over the last 5 games isn't the camby we know

I would say Melo is grabbing some of those rebounds....which is fine. Camby maybe needs to figure out how to put all of his energy into blocks and assists unless no one else is up to rebounding.
Maybe the consistency of others grabbing rebounds fluctuates much more than Camby......that could be throwing him off in terms of how much he's putting into it.

Camby could be one of the most overrated players in the league right now. He leaves his feet constantly to go for the block and pretty much gets a lot of rebounds because everyone else on the team leaks out to go on the break.... He puts a body on noone, plays bad post defense and doesn't come out on the pick and roll. Offensively he believes he is a guard, he is a pretty good passer, but constantly takes stupid shots and turns the ball over way too much. Sorry to say it because I like the guy, but most of our problems right now on the defensive end our because of him. Don't get caught up on his rebounds, Denver is the top team in pace which means that there are more shots which means more rebounds....Camby gets no offensive rebounds at all. Right now we are the 29th ranked team in rebounds...It's the rebounding percentage that you need to look at. This is making our defense look bad...by allowing second shots. Second shots are always easier than first shots because the defensive is out of position. Why are there so many second shots, one reason is because Camby is going for blocks all the time and leaving his feet, when he doesn't get it, his man sneaks in for the Off. Reb and scores....
Some cool stats from 82games.com
Our D. reb is 69.7% meaning our opp. off reb is 30.3%
Camby gets 27.4% of that, Kmart 15.2, Melo 13.1, Carter 8.4,AI 5.2
Our own Of. reb is 28%, meaning opp def reb is 72%
Camby gets 8.4% of that, Melo 6.4 Kmart 5.1 ,AI 1.4,Carter 1.3
We get out rebounded by 2.3%...
Camby is a good Defensive rebounder but right now he isnt playing well
Kmart not a good rebounder either...

I hope he proves me wrong tonight and dominates down low agains Biedrins. In the last meeting, Biedrins owned the paint.

I have been a Camby supporter, but he's been dreadful the last 10 to 20 games. Injured? tired? he's been bad and Biedrins dominated him last night...he's just not getting it done.

I know last night was a great win and all, but did anyone see how he just stepped aside when Davis drove into the paint w/about 3 mins left in the game?
WTF? The team was up by around 10 points, GS is trying to make a run, and Camby doesn't even try to guard a guy going to the hole. You're supposed to foul, take a charge, do some **** thing.

Camby's effort was definitely lacking last night. It was very noticeable, which is concerning, considering the magnitude of the game.

I just hope he comes around and starts being a consistant beast under the opponents bucket again. We really need what he brings when he brings it. I hate the idea of trading him, but he is the most logical trade chip that we have IMO.

It does seem like it has been since his incentives went through that he hasn't been blocking or rebounding as much. Hopefully with a little rest before the playoffs, he can play up to his normal standards.

He sure didn't show up on this road trip. Oh yeah, he played great against the 6'7" one legged Brand.
