Kirk Hinrich

I know it is to early to start talking about next season and all. But just out of curiosity, would you like if Kirk was our starting point next season. He distributes the ball and can actually defend. And assuming A.I. is here next season, he would probably be as close as your gonna get to a tall PG to play backcourt with A.I.

I don't want to turn this into a fantasy trade thread and I'm not sure how the salaries would work but what about Camby/1st rd pick for Kirk Hinrich?

are you crazy or just dumb? Nah, sorry for insult...

Camby and first for such a garbage as Hinrich? WTF?!? Only reason he's mentioned so often is... yeah, he's white. That's all. I always find funny when someone sais he's good defender. You definitively didn't watch him play for US team. He was humiliated by back up point guard of Germany!!!

No way.

If it were just Camby and Hinrich's contract were shorter, maybe. But that's a long contract.

I don't see why we have to dangle a first at them to entice the bulls to pull this trade off. Hinrich hasn't had a great year for the bulls and they have a lot of free agents. If they could move his deal for a big man with a similar but shorter deal, I think they would jump all over it. In fact, I think we could get a pick (2nd rounder) in the deal or one of their young bigs that they have been trying to unload.

It is way too early to start looking at trades. We still control our own destiny in this playoff picture. But, I do think Hinrich would be a big improvement over Carter.

Like I said, I didnt want to turn this into a fantasy trade thread and I know its still early with the current season still underway but everyone is ready and willing to get rid of Camby and we basically need anything besides AC at PG so I figured that although Kirk is sure as hell no saviour, he is a huge upgrade over AC and playing in the offense the Nugs run and the backcourt with A.I. could improve his play( like it did for Blake and even AC).

Hinrich just isn't that good. We could get a lot more for Camby.

Hinrich is a bad shooter and an over-rated defender, no thanks

Don't care for Hinrich. He didn't look so good on Team USA - and if you can't step up your game on a team like Team USA....with four other guys that are superstars, when are you going to step up your game?

overrated defender or not...he's a better defender than any perimeter player in a nugs uni.

bad shooter? he shoots 37% from behind the arc his entire career.

I admit he's had a bad year...but he would fit in well with the nuggets.

Lose that first rounder and I'd do it, if and only if Nene is healthy (calling that a big if would be an understatement). Hinrich is as good a fit as we'll ever get at this point. Hes got decent height, can shoot the long ball, and is definitely a better defender than any of the other guards Karl is playing.

A lot more? I doubt it.
I'd say Hinrich is pretty damn good value for Camby, especially considering how many people (including me) were willing to trade him for Delonte West last summer.
He's still relatively young, and a great fit, what more do you want?
I'd be perfectly happy with a young core of Hinrich/JR/Melo/Nene.

Camby:

Top 5 Center in the league in a league dying for centers
Has range
Top in blocks
Top 3 in boards
DPOY
Great passer
Pretty cheap for what he brings

Kirk.... well yeah I guess he's pretty young... I dunno.

I never heard talks about Delonte West for Camby. That's ridiculous. I love West for this team, but there is no way in hell I'd give up Camby for him.

I did hear talks about Camby for Artest last summer. That's the kind of value I'd expect. Not Kirk F*ing Hinrich.

I couldn't of said it better myself. I'd rather use Camby for an Artest or Mike Miller than Hinrich.

Hinrich is having a bad year but are you kidding me to turn this down? The Bulls will NOT accept that offer for the fact that Camby is 34 and is showing signs of slowing down in this very season (2nd half of the season).

Camby's value is plummeting fast in my opinion... Hinrch is still 26-27? He's young and can rebound from a bad year... he can defend and hit outside shots. Generally a well above average PG.

Let's hope one of these GMs play too much video game and overrate Camby's value and accept a Camby for a star trade.

I'll definitely do this trade.

Hinrich is hardly a star, but I agree that a Camby/Hinrich swap makes a lot of sense for us. Chicago probably doesn't want Camby due to his age. Perhaps a 3rd team would be interested in Camby and could send something to Chicago.

Camby declining? Please explain lol he's proved he's not as injury prone is averaging 13 rebounds, almost 4 blocks per game and 3 assists per game. He's the only center in the league who can get close to getting a triple double. He'll prolly repeat as DPOY and he's averaging 35 minutes per game...Wheres the decline?

This trade would never work, Hinrich hasnt proven much to anyone except he can lead one of the most talented young and upcoming teams into basically the cellar of their division. His leadership is a big question mark for me. They better add in their first round pick and someone else or else theres no way in hell we give up Camby for him.

It's not all about stats.

The last 6 games or so, he's been nothing short of soft and possibly disinterested. Maybe it's fatigue from not getting his normal injury rest, but the fact is that his (lack of) play as of late has hurt the team. And this is when the team needs him the most.

Besides, if/when the Nugs get to the playoffs, he's going to get owned by most of the opposing bigs he'll face.

The thing about this idea is that while Camby's and Hinrich's salaries are close, Hinrich is signed through 2012.

Given the way he's played this year, that's a big roll of the dice.

I doubt Utah would go near that deal.

With us getting Tyrus Thomas and Kirck Hinrich it still leaves us without a Center. Nene might be able to play down low but I wouldnt be able to give Nene the starting spot at Center until he proves he can play at least 2 full years without missing significant time.

A Camby deal cant get done in less were adding another Big man Center down low or we plan to add another one in a follow up trade or the draft. Otherwise we become the Phoenix Suns without Shaq, and will be the worse rebounding team in the NBA.

Let's be real. Give me either Joakim Noah or Tyrus Thomas, add Chris Duhon rather than Hinrich, and THEN we'll talk about trading Camby....
