Pat Riley?

He's the anti laziness just ask Shaq... (benched Shaq just 2 mins into a game this season because he didn't run and didn't rebound)... and Shaq was a big reason they won a championship.

Melo either completely struggles with Riley or blossoms. Believe it or not, I think he's praying for a tough love coach like Riley to save his game.

Riley quits as Heat coach so let's get him.

I think he's still going to stay the Heat's president.

He'd be fine if you could land him. Personally if he gets canned, I really like Avery for this team. Very disciplined, Strong/forceful personality, stresses defense even lacking some defensive personnel, and runs a ISO heavy offense which meshes well with the personnel on this team.

A lot of presidents turning back into coaches: Isiah, Larry Brown, Riley himself...

He's the anti venom of prima donna... the poison of this team.

Are you **** kidding me? I'm sure you would say LA>>Denver too? You do realize how stupid you sound when you say that one city is objectively better than another? People from the coasts wonder why those of us in "flyover country" have negative feelings about them but it's that kind of arrogance that does it. Pat Riley isn't going anywhere because he has carte blanche in Miami.

Yes, of course LA>Denver but I'm sure you disagree. I'm just saying what alot of people think. If I was a millionaire, I know i would have a MUCH better time spending my money in MIA. I'm sure Denver has alot to offer like... Well I'm sure its great... But have you seen south beach and the woman?

My point is it is completely subjective. Sure there are great things about Miami and LA but not everyone likes fake tits and beaches. Some people like natural, healthy women http://specials.tribstar.com/obesity/day1nehren.html ,gorgeous scenery, and skiing. Pretty much every super rich person from LA has a second house here for a reason. But you are right, Denver has nothing to offer. Right now I'm sitting on my porch drinking some coors and recovering from the barn dance this past weekend.

Thanx for the laugh... My point is if i had a choice... But yea Denver seems cool. I actually prefer cold weather but really enjoy the way women dress in hot weather. If i ever visit Denver I hope i'm proven wrong!

First off: MIA > Denver > LA. I've lived in both Denver and LA, and now live in Sac. I've also been to MIA.

Have you people been listening to Pats comments the last few months? The last thing we need to do is to hire another hasbeen coach, who is just now starting to understand that there are other things more important in life than basketball. We need someone who is more serious and is able to keep this team structured. Pat use to be the best at that, but hearing him on ESPN recently has changed my mind.

I :banghead: every time I hear about how everyone wants Karl back. It boggles my mind. How the hell can this FO be satisfied with decent seasons? Is our goal not to win a championship? Look at how other playoff teams' chemistry and game plans compared to ours. This crap we are seeing is a style that KARL APPROVES AND ENCOURAGES. What we are seeing now is the result of counting on the team to find their own ways to score. All this, and the FO acts like it's ridiculous to even consider a coaching change. I'm sorry eric, but I am thoroughly convinced that this FO doesn't have the knowledge to run this team. Call me every name in the book that you want.

All moot...

Pat Riley is staying on as Heat's president and remember he owns a stake in the Heat franchise. And seeing that he is 2 years removed from a championship, I think its safe to say he has job security FOREVER.
