Before you blame 'Melo, AI, and Karl...

Maybe it's time to read this fantastic post over at Denver Stiffs about our current front office. The expose paints a pretty clear picture-- Kroenke has assembled a crew of well-connected individuals with questionable integrity. Before we get our hopes up for the near term future, maybe we should brace for the continued mismanagement of our beloved franchise under this "regime".

Most of this I have known for a long time.

As for Chapman, I do not know what he ahs done really with the Nuggets so I cannot comment.

As I have stated in the past trader Mark Warkentein should have never been hired, he does not understand the concept of building a team that fits together, let alone the whole idea that you can have too many headcases on a roster.

Bearup is a different guy, I personally am sure that he has sold any investment stuff he had otherwise he could be in serious trouble with both the league and the SEC. As for the problems with Pitino and Bearup, I do not know what to think, other then none of what he has said is illegal, and all of it seems to be hearsay. While there may be some truth to the stories I think all of this happens constantly anyways.

Warkentein sucks. He helped put the old Jailblazers team together and he was Tarkanians top recruiter at UNLV, which also put headcases on the court. I don't see where having the 3 headed monster helps with anything. If Stan wanted to save some payroll, he could replace the 3 with one new GM at a reduced rate I am sure.

i cant wait til eric stratton comes and tells us how stupid we are and how the front office 'almost' had a million different trades that would have made us better and about how cool bearup is. this organization sucks. i love this team and there is nothing worse than watching its front office ruin any chance at a championship/winning two games in the playoffs.

I have been saying for some time that the 3 headed monster is one of our biggest problems. Successful organizations have 1 voice...they might have people to help debate trades and drafts etc....but one person will stick their neck out and have accountability... that's the major problem with the organization is there is no accountability anywhere. What is more disturbing is that our owner seems to be content with the 3 headed monster. I wished Kroenke would do what he does with the Avs... find some very good basketball people and let them run the team. I don't know if these 3 guys would qualify.

FO + Karl + Moe = no chance at a championship.

I admit that I used to ride Eric Stratton's jock... I thought it was so cool to be in "the inside circle". That doesn't mean anything to me anymore because it's just the short term rush that makes you feel like you're better than other fans because you know what's going to happen. Whatever happens with this team happens irregardless of when we learn about it, and complaining (or praising) the move won't make a god damn difference.

The whole organization is in shambles, and if you want to quote corporate America, "the tone at the top" is rotten. I don't care if Kroenke throws a billion dollars in payroll at this city-- now that I know where the lack of character and discipline comes from, I don't want a championship this way. I love the city of Denver, and that's who I root for when I follow this team. Nothing's going to change as long as AI and Melo fill the seats and Kroenke keeps his low character cronies in charge, but that doesn't mean I won't support my god damn team.

Just don't hold your breath on any improvements.

Doug Moe back in the day had overachieving teams with character and those teams were much closer to a championship than this team is currently. You can diss on Karl and Moe all you want...but when the owner and FO don't make anyone accountable...you can't expect coaches to do so... the FO will just tell them...they don't have to...

Bearup+Chapman+Warkantien = no championship and no character ever!!!!!!!!!

That's cool and all, but Moe's style of play doesn't wins titles these days.

I've never been a fan of Wark but, I don't have much of a problem with Bearup and Chapman.

I really don't believe Melo will be traded, but if hes gone before Karl and AI, you have to question their sanity.

"I really don't believe Melo will be traded, but if hes gone before Karl and AI, you have to question their sanity."

AI is gone in a year, so its a little bit irrelevant. You won't get fair value for him b/c of the contract, so nuggets might as well give it another shot.

Agree re Karl.

With the way the West is improving, I wouldn't be suprised if Denver declines next season.
