You forget, the team could have traded Nene at the trade deadline for an expiring.

Thorn, who virtually never comments on trades or trade rumors, did however shoot down a report that the Nets offered Josh Boone, Marcus Williams and Krstic to the Nuggets for Marcus Camby before the former defensive player of the year landed with the Clippers for basically a Happy Meal.

You get three high character, hard working guys in return for a lazy superstar who will never lead his team anywhere and another whose heart is big but style of play will not win his team a championship anytime soon.

I know this may sound strange, but I think I would rather have Gooden in that trade instead of Gordon. Not only would that give us a little bit of front court depth, but it would allow JR to start in the backcourt.

But thats just me. Unless we can quickly flip Gordon onto another team for a better big man.

You can't be real turning down that package that includes Derrick Rose and Deng, and we get Gordon and Hughes' expiring contract too.

If Melo can play every game on the Nuggets like he does every game on Team USA, then it's a bad trade although Rose is in the package. I wouldn't move Melo, because he's a superstar. But for whatever reason he has winning commitment issues in Denver, and I will trade anybody that is not interested in making the Nuggets a winning ballclub.

Right because AI is not a larger expiring then Hughes, Rose has proven so much (outside of already having injury problems), but Deng and Gordon are future all stars after all just look at that great record they led the Bulls to last year while they regressed.

so you would trade someone you have decided (regardless of facts) does not care about winning, for a group of guys who showed that they are willing to tank their team because their name comes up in rumors, of course we also get a guy who has admitted that he would rather enjoy his day as opposed to worrying about winning, and a rookie PG who has sat out most of summer league with an injury after looking like **** in the game he played. Damn your Basketball IQ is something to behold.
