Melo thought he was traded

Post#1 » by SnakefromHell » Tue Jul 22, 2008 5:24 am

Anthony admitted he got a bit nervous the day of the Camby trade.

"I was in my hotel room and the phone started to ring off the hook," Anthony said in his first public comments about the deal. "Calls were coming from my teammates and members of the Denver basketball family. When I answered, I said, 'OK, so where am I going?'

My thing is... if he has received assurance from the brass they're not trading him, why did he still think it was him? I think Melo has lost some faith in the organization...

Snake you're a broken record...same thing over and over...aren't you sick of typing the word 'defense' during the off season?

He's a very good defender but he can turn into the most defenseless player in L history in a blink of an eye...

And only Carmelo Anthony can tell Carmelo Anthony how to transform that fast.

What does him not playing defense have to do with our FO being worthless?

i think it's because he's the face of your organization, and you'd want your leader to lead by example.

AI and Karl were the "leaders" of the team this year. Karl was about the worst leader a team could have, admits he didn't do his job this year, played a backup PG way too much, encouraged his players to drink after wins that meant nothing, etc.

The players will never be playing their best with him in Denver.

seeing how many homers here thinks Melo could be a good defender one day makes me sick... I'll tell you just one thing. If guy like Melo played for our team (bunch of losers playing for fun) we'd kick his ass for his "effort."
