Oh my what a waste of roster...? What makes him different than J.R. or Weems? Man... his game is for summer league not for real NBA games.

And we're letting Elton Brown go...

How is adding a defensive minded guard a waste of a roster spot on this team?

^Because it could have been used for Elton Brown instead? And we already had defensive minded guys Bobby Jones and Weems.

Trust me, Dahntay Jones' game is for summer league. He's undersized frame will not make him this "defensive beast" that Karl will play him despite his shortcomings on offense. He's a good defender, but he's not that good.

I really think Weems and Bobby Jones will get more playing time in the season... and he'll get buried deep on the bench.

yes he can defend and is not a midgit... but he can't shoot.

i'd rather keep Khouba.

Bobby Jones and Yak are most likely going to have to look for employment in another town with this signing, and you might even be able to add Sonny to that list.

After JR, if we do bring him back, by my calculations we would need to find one more bargain contract to complete the 13 man roster.

The only proof you have of him being a defensive minded player is his agent's words, who will say anything to make his client look good.

This signing was HORRIBLE. We don't need him one bit and we are already stacked at the 2 and 3. I can't believe we got this guy over Brown. Anybody who has played with NBA players for years can look good against rookies... Jesus, this FO is so thick headed...

He outplayed Jones in the summer league so he deserves the contract. Jones probably will get waived now and Weems isnt even signed. It was a decent enough move....he adds some depth at the 2/3.

See ya Yak. Jones should be a decent defender off the bench. Nothing too special. Most likely a practice player for the most part.

I think Jones could be a surpise steal for the Nuggets. A late bloomer like Raja Bell. Could find healthy minutes on a team starving for a defensive presence. Either way the Nuggets need to move AI to point guard this year.

Considering we got him for nothing, he has turned out well. But he surely hasn't exceeded any expectations.....he is out there playing good defense and using his athleticism to score a few buckets. IMO, he's a slight upgrade over Khoub just because his BBall IQ is way higher and he isn't the worst offensive player in the NBA.

I think he's better than what I expected... but he is doing what is expected of him. And yes, I'd choose him over Diawara any day He can cut, finish strong, and on the break he's a pretty good weapon to have.
