Chris Anderson....

Post#1 » by nyk2423 » Sat Oct 25, 2008 5:42 am

I just wanted to know if you guys were going to give him 25-30min a night because he seems to be a GREAT fantasy player when it comes to block, oreb, and reb.He can also score a little especially in your system.

I'd say he'd get around 20-25min... he's the next legit big coming off the bench... im tempted to pick him up too...but i'll wait a few games into the season.

Closer to 15-20. Nene will obviously take up a majority of the minutes, Kmart will get some time at the 5, and I don't think Chris is versatile enough to play any other position. I'd shy away from him for now, unless it's a deep league and you can afford the gamble.

He will play more minutes than many people expect in my opinion. I would say he'd get 27-30 mpg especially if he continues to rebound and block shots at the rate he's been doing.

George Karl, although blind on defense, has to like that Andersen actually plays defense the right way. Unlike Camby, he doesn't go for block shots to stuff up his stats but he protects the paint like a big man should.

Really really love that he's now back playing with us again. Was so sad to see him go for Hornets a few years ago, wanted him to come back and play for us again... now he's here!! :D He's gonna show us he's more than just a player given a second chance.

I'd say: 8.5 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 1.9 bpg for the season.

I'm liking Chris Anderson. Save money and add team defense at the center position? Most definitely. He's going to at least get Najera's minutes with a healthy dose of Camby's old minutes - at least when things get fired up and running. Do we have untested waters? Yeah, I mean how much do you think Anderson has to prove? This will be fun to watch.

If Nene gets hurt..

Fantasy players should grab Andersen quick. Might not be a bad grab now, if the league allows for a deep roster.

without major injury for an extended period, i really doubt that. albeit with nene/kmart, you never know.
96 minutes combined at the PF/C positions. nene/kmart should each play 32. that leaves 32 leftover. kleiza should take about 10 of those on a regular basis, and i wouldn't be surprised to see balkman play a good deal of PF. i also expect howard to fill in quite a bit because karl will feel "comfortable" with him.

i say he'll average around what he did in NO in 04-05. 18-22 minutes, 6-7 boards, 7-8 points.

I agree. I think 18-22 minutes is a realistic guess and it should be in the neighborhood of what he gets.

I understand your point... but that might change quickly though especially if he keeps playing the way he's been in his given minutes.

Then Juwan might be this year's Stephen Hunter in favor of Andersen.

Stephen Hunter will be... well he will ask to be waived/ traded

I hate to make excuses and all, but these Refs screwed us tonight, and Carter getting 30+ minutes didnt help
