Would Memphis do this trade?

Post#1 » by berserker » Mon Nov 10, 2008 8:31 pm

Kleiza/Hunter/1st for Critt/Gasol?

Would certainly help us.........Kleiza can be replaced by the hustle of Balkman, although his shot would be missed. But gives us another big guard and big man, which with Anderson out and McDick being bought out, we REALLY need....

And think about the future lineup...Critt/JR/Melo/Nene/Gasol.......wow

I'd be ecstatic if we could pull it off. However, I'm not sure Memphis would give up both.....

Thoughts?

What about Kleiza, Hunter, Atkins and, say, a 1st rd pick and a 2nd rd pick for Darko and Lowry?
Might get us under the Lux Tax line and put young, improving, rotation-worthy players behind our two 'old' starters.

How about we keep a few picks instead of trading them all away and develop a quality bench through the draft.

Before the start of the season, they might trade Gasol... but at this point, I can't see it happening unless they get a star back.

At this point, he's pretty much deemed untouchable along with Gay and Mayo.

two first round picks and LK probably wouldn't pry Gasol from Memphis. He's got a bright future.

The Grizz realize they have a good player in Gasol. No offense to Nuggets fans or Kleiza (who I'd love to see the Grizz get somehow), but that's just not going to happen. JCritt isn't a throw in piece in the Front Office's view either.

I still am unhappy about the timing of the Grizz trading Pau (with over two weeks to go until the deadline) - but the cap space they picked up, JCritt, Darrell Arthur, Marc Gasol and another first coming in 2010 - the results aren't looking nearly as bleak as they were last year...
