Health vs. Defense

Just a thought - while everyone has made much more of a dedicated vow to play more intense this year, K-Mart and Anderson have already shown that intensity leaves them open to injury. How should the team adjust to make sure they can keep their oath of intensity and stay healthy at the same time?

both kmarts injuries occured on the offensive end on pretty typical plays. i believe dirk slapped down on the ball when martin was driving which caused the wrist injury, and he strained his hamstring coming down from a usual dunk.
andersen's was just bad luck and poor positioning. need to use your hands/forearms to protect your chest when taking a charge instead of just laying yourself out there.
you have to play at high intensity all the time and hope injuries don't get you...that's what wins games. boston played with a lot of passion/energy all season last year and didn't have many injury problems.
