Nuggets getting some Power Ranking love

Our quarrel isn't necessarily with the Nuggets, who are rightly pleased with themselves at 8-2 since the Billups era began, but we're just being honest: There was no obvious No. 4 once you got past the dominance above.

The Nuggets couldn't handle the Lakers on Friday, but they continue to look like one of the West's stronger teams with Chauncey Billups in the fold. Thursday night's matchup with the Hornets should be a good measuring stick for both teams.

I prefer us being under the radar, I hate people riding the Nuggets... :)

Billups trade was a good move so far.

As most of you know, I came here an AI fan, but I still follow the Nuggets as my second favorite team. I really grew attached to the players other than AI while rooting for the team, and I'm very happy to see the Nuggets doing so well. It's about time they got some love from the ESPN crew.

The trade looks real good for the Nuggets so far. I haven't been around in a while, so forgive me if this is the wrong place for the random ramblings of my mind.

Nene looks absolutely unbelievable; it's great that he panned out as the beast we all knew he could be. Maybe time to give more touches to the guy leading the league in FG% and still averaging 15+ a game?

Also, what's the deal with JR? I thought he'd get to be a 20 ppg scorer with AI out of the picture.

Final note: once Melo goes back to playing like his normal self, this team will be scary good. They're obviously already good, but when your best player isn't playing up to potential you know the team could play better.

I remember reading 1 or more article in pre-season, mentioning how bad Nuggets would suck with AI and Melo troubles.
