Nenê's dogged pursuit of perfection is a welcome sight for Nuggets
Perfection remains elusive for Nenê this season. Each night, every game, there's a ball that rims out on him, a running hook shot that falls short or a bunny that somehow still misses. Against Houston on Sunday, Yao Ming blocked three of his layups -- swat in the second quarter, swat-swat in rapid succession in the fourth -- and it stuck with him, almost as much as the standstill to which he and Yao played in the Nuggets' 104-94 victory.

thanks or posting this. There's nothing wrong with him being religious. I think it's aweseom he has that kind of faith and that obviously helped him get through a lot. I love nene man he's awesome! I just wish he would take more shos!!! we should be running it through him a lot more! GO nene and Go Nuggets.

A religous person isn't supposed to put themself first before God. They are supposed to put God first, which is what Nene is doing.
I have no problems with it. It isn't me, but I find nothing wrong with it. It does get a little wild at times when you hear him say things like how God helps him shoot the basketball, but it is working, so let it work.

Nice to see a positive article about the Denver Nuggets, and Nene in particular. The only thing that struck me as odd was the fact that he's getting married in Ft. Collins. You're a superstar NBA player from Brazil and you get married there? He must be hardcore CO now.

So now people are starting to realize what we know for years...
OffTopic: Karl quote: "Nenê's presence on pick-and-rolls probably is ahead of the curve, where Marcus at times last year was too soft. Now we try to be the attacker rather than the attacked."
I'm glad to see he wasn't so stupid to not see it, but... did he never approached Camby to go hard?

I usually take most of the opportunities available to make a complaint against GK, but I don't think this is one of those situations, it could be though. I think GK was aware of the fact that Marcus didn't do these things, but with Nene injured we just didn't have anyone else to go to at that position. I will give him the benefit of the doubt this time around.

Hey man, I don't know about religion but I like the fact Nene appreciated the standing O we gave him on his return. There's a man that appreciates his lot in life.
