i agree.
melo tends to be pretty consistent with the exception of a 2 week slump per season...which seems to have happened already. it's more about karl giving jr minutes, jr playing with a head in those minutes, and kmart/nene staying on the court.

I think there's far more pressure on Kmart and Nene to stay healthy than there is on Melo and Jr to play consistent. Look at how Melo played the first month of the season. He wasn't awful, just not the same Melo we've seen before, yet we were still winning games. And until JR starts getting consistent playing time, I think it's a stretch to expect him to play consistently well. Thats on Karl though, he just needs to open his eyes.
I get the feeling that if Nene or Kmart gets hurt for an extended period of time, we're screwed. We are so thin up front theres no one that can come in and even come close to giving the production we normally get.

You guys are pretty good, but if you don't get one of the top 4 seeds (by winning the Northwest Divison Championship over Utah), then I don't think you guys will be able to make it to the Conf. Finals. That would also probably mean if you guys won in the first round (and if the Lakers won their first round matchup), then you guys would have to play LAL.

Disagree, the Nuggets have to be consistent on defense to go far, they have enough offensive talent to cope with one of their stars staying cold.
Oh, and when Martin is good, they always win.

I don't think JR's consistency really makes or breaks this team, as long as he's held under control. I think Nene's health and CB's leadership will be what matters.
Melo is Melo. He may be off, but he's always going to be a factor.

the nuggets are one good trade away from being contenders. depth for the front court isn't good enough alone. I expect more.

I think a consistent Chauncey Billups and Nene would really put us in a better position than a consistent Melo and J.R.
Melo is pretty consistent anyway, with an exception when he faces LeBron... he still gets caught up with the LeBron v Melo hype... FORGET IT MELO it's OVER!!!

I'm not sure what was up with Melo last night. I remember one foul where he was protecting his own space, but he shoved very visibly to get the defender off of him.
Melo had a very good stretch a few games ago, and I think he and the team can rely too much on that kind of streak happening again and again.
Who wouldn't want to see Melo go off like he did for 45, and do it the second time against LeBron? Anybody would want to see that, but that's not necessarily his most effective weapon that particular night.

I feel that J.R. Smith should/ve been in the starting line up from the begining of the season.
