Over/Under....Melo out 4 Games

Over

Melo has a bone spur on each elbow....It"s obviously affecting his game and now he and the team have decide to shut it down for awhile. They've come out and said 3 games but I think he'll be out longer than that. 3 games only gives him 7 days off. Looking at the schedule I think he'll miss 6-7 games coming back against either OKC or NO the following night.

Under - unless the team struggles without him - if they get these next 3 wins, Melo could opt to let the healing continue game by game - but he doesn't like to take off too long / OKC could be easy enough to let him come back in the NO game

Under/Over Melo refocuses and looks at games like tonights as the potential for his team and his supplementary stats reb/ast increase - pts/rebounds/ast change to 18/10/6

This is probably the best time to sit him....with our competition being pretty sub par coming up. Might as well keep him out until the end of the upcoming road trip; let him stay in Denver and get treatment. That would give him two weeks off(7 games).

If it means J.R. is going to get 30+ minutes a night and Nene gets more touches(like happened tonight), then I'm completely cool and confident in that. Because both those things are such big positives that it would make losing Melo for that long much easier.

I think Melo has done a pretty good job this season focusing on defense and rebounding and accepting he can help the team in other ways than putting up 30 a night. That being said if they don't want the elbow problems to be a lingering issue (which it very well may be) he's gonna have to sit more than 3 games.
